Me,
So sorry about your news. everything you are feeling is normal for us girls. So many times I had to go through each and every one of my friends telling me they were pregnant ... me having to say congratulations and then running off to sob in my bedroom for hours. I also felt such a failure and just so bl**dy angry. Life is so unfair.
I was also told after my first ivf that I should wait for 3 af's. I argued this point and said I would only wait 2, which I did but transferred to Lister in London for a fet (as I was lucky to have some frosties). You do sometimes need to push the clinic. But saying that you do need to prepare your body. Like Debra says Zita West book is good and I'm glad you have ordered it. I went to Marilyn Glenville's nutritionists practice (London) for an assessment and diet plan 3 months before my third treatment, and this is what worked for me I think. They put me on a wheat free diet, and heh bingo I then became pg.
Marilyn Glenville has a book about fertility and supplements and her details can be found on the net. Its added expense I know.
We'll all be here for your next treatment. And remember the odds are that it takes 3 goes to get pg with ivf. There is also a higher chance of ivf working in the summer months than the winter months apparently. Becoming pg after the first go is unlikely, and your body will now remember a bit from this go, and know more about what its meant to do next go (i.e. grabbing hold of those embies and not letting them go). I always think that the first time the body thinks what are these little things, and just doesn't have the knowledge to keep hold of them. Next time it will, and we'll all be receiving your good news.

Dancola, It sounds like you are doing better - it has been a long week hasn't it???. My DH was totally flattened when he found out his first test - mobility was around 10% (too much stress) but it got better during the IVF to about 21%. He is now taking vitamins, drinking lotes of water, eating more fruit/veggies/seeds of all sorts....this is tough for him cuz he is really a meat and potatoes guy!...getting ready for the next round. I will look into the Zita-vits ..and will see if there are any alternatives in the Apothekes here in Germany...if not we will invest.
I am interested to hear how your May 6th appointment goes. My consultation is on 26. April...with tons of questions for doc!
Sophie-Jane, can I ask if you have the contact details for Marilyn Glenville? From her website it’s not very clear where in London the practise is and how you go about getting an appointment. It’s something that would be of interest to me and I’d be keen to see if it would help.
Have just had time to read this post properly and spotted your message - yes i am currently living in the boro but originally from durham (my dh works down here), good luck with your tmt - hope it goes really well. There is another from round here........Eskavon, who is about 2 weeks away from EC.
I have had 2 -ve results so far though the consultant didn't really know why so this time have gone to town with the vits and acunpuncture etc etc.....
Take care - I will be watching your progress with interest!
