Tracii ... It's got to come out at some point, and the sooner the better. It's only then that things will start to get better. Thinking about you tonight ..

Hi all--

I've been checking in on everyone and just wanted to tell Tracii how much I feel for her (having just gone through a failed attempt a few weeks ago). It's definitely devastating, combined with the wierdness of your body--all those new aches, bloatings, exhaustion, and headaches. But be strong and persevere. It's good, though, to take a break--my own doctor requires one month in between IVF cycles and I can see why.

Also wanted to tell Debra that I'm on pins and needles, hoping you get a positive test.

And BigJ--I am in your boat now (egg donor route) so I'm anxious to hear how all is going in Spain.

And Sandra, are the embies defrosting as I write? Good luck!

LittleP--what's up with you?!

As for me, I am off the hook for the moment. Since my chances of getting pregnant myself through IVF are "in the single digits" percentage-wise, we're opting to use donor eggs. We put ads in the university paper and website, and apparently three women contacted our doctor. They need to fill in extensive questionnaires (it they are seriously interested), then meet with the doctor. Then he contacts us if he has women/a woman whom he deem appropriate. That's what we're waiting for. He also has a list of potential donors from other couples who posted advertisements. I've been reading several books about egg donation and feel very good about it, but hate this wait!

Cheers,
Donna

Hello Girls,

At long last i feel as though i can post. Got the final go ahead last week to start treatment when AF arrives this month.

Didn't want to post until I knew there was nothing stopping it, and fingers crossed it will be a straight forward cycle this time hence all the waiting for the go ahead.

Not sure if should be on this thread of the May thread.

Cheers,

Jane

Hi,

Eskavon - how did the baseline scan and blood tests go today?

Susie - good luck for your repeat tests tomorrow I hope you get the news you want.

Delly - I still feel like AF is about to arrive, even though I've had my +ve. It must be something else and not having anything else to compare it to, we automatically think AF. Keeping thinking positive, not long till test day now.

Hi to everyone else. I think we're all pretty much underway now, or just about to start :D

Babydust sprinkes over everyone,
Debra

Delly,
Go back and read some of Debras posts and you'll see she was feeling very much the same way. But she has a +ve!!! Please try to keep positive, even though I totally understand preparing yourself for the worst.
God Bless!

Thanks everyone fopr your thoughts
I'm doing ok, I had a feeling this was going to happen. It was just our first go, but we'll pick ourselves up and dust ourselves down and just get on with it cos that's what you've got to do haven't you. I feel positive it will happen for us one day, this just wasn't our turn. For all of you left to test in April i really hope it is your turn.
