hello all

does anyone else recall having a nagging ache low down in their pelvic area (bit like the start of mild period pains, but not getting any worse so far) after their FET. Up until today, I have felt nothing but this morning, the aching starting.

could this be because I'm over doing things - have been for walks and doing a bit of housework - changed the duvet covers etc.

any advise/experiences please.

thanks yoooou

sarah x
Hi Sarah
I'm on day 3 and have exactly the same sort of ache, worse if I've been on my feet for any time. Don't know if it's a good or bad sign but thought I'd let you know you are not alone
Lots of Love
Terri
xxxxx
Hi there
Let's hope that its a good pain. I can't give you much advice because this is my first FET and I am only on day 3 with Terri. What advice were you given re doing stuff - are you going to work tomorrow? I am down in Somerset but am bored stupid - not used to sitting doing nothing - driving me nuts. For the best tho. I wanted to go and have a massage and facial but they say they can't do them because of treatment. Pooh!!!!

Are you feeling hormonal - I tend to get that a week before my period. It's kind of different this time round as I am not taking any drugs.

Glad to hear you are doing stuff as everybody seems to think I should sit and do nothing. The Dr said to carry on as normal and not to do anything different. Confused!!

Fingers crossed girls
lol
Lissa
xxxxx

Hello Lissa and Terri

Thanks for your replies.

Lissa, I'm glad to hear you have a similar feeling. As I said, I'm on day 7 and hadn't felt a thing up until now. Just remembered though, had my second HCG injection of Saturday morning so maybe it's to do with that.

I had varying opinion too on what you should and shouldn't do. My official instructions said return to normal activities (within reason) but no vigorous excercise like jogging, aerobics etc. No heavy lifting and drink plenty of water.

I went back to work on day 3 and basically just sat at my desk and had the odd wander around. Have been pretty busy this weekend though which is why I wondered if I'd overdone it a bit.

I find keeping busy keeps my mind off things but would never do anything to put myself at risk so have stuck to 'light' duties.

I've also read on a website (IVF.com) I think it was, that you can return to work within 48 hours and carry on your life as normal (but no heavy lifting blah blah blah). I guess it's just up to you what you feel comfortable doing. I don't think lying on the sofa for 2 weeks would make it work or not work if you no what mean, but if it makes you feel more positive, that's got to be the main thing.

Blimey - going on and on I am.

Thanks for your replies anyway, feel a bit better now know you have the same feeling.

Did you have a HCG injection?

Sarah x
Hi there
No didn't give me any injections this time round just a couple of scans.

I agree sitting on the sofa for 2 weeks isn't going to make it happen/not happen. I'll end up feeling lardy and lazy!

Have you pains gone?

Lissa
x
hi girls,

well can i say the 2ww was horrid i had pains everywhere, last weekend i had such bad pains down below i was convinced it was over, so take each day as it comes, and drink lots of fluids.

lots of love
beck xx
Hi Lissa

Pains still haven't gone - but are not quite as bad today. Comes and goes really, I'm not that worried now as Beck said she had pains the week before the test and now she's pg!!!! so maybe it's a good thing!

Beck, will start guzzling water today, did it for a couple of days and then forgot really. Must get drinking.

Lissa, are you drinking enough?

Thanks guys

Sarah
Hi ladies

I'm on day 11 after FET and I've had a few twinges and pains. Mostly in my back, but some in my ovary area.

I've come to the conclusion that I'm just being a bit oversensitive to eveything at the moment. Last week I felt a bit sick on a few days and it's making me think "maybe it's worked this time". If I hadn't had the FET, I probably wouldn't give it a second thought. I think it's a bit similar with all the aches and pains. If we were "normal" we wouldn't even notice.

I'm trying to drink lots of milk (read that in a few old posts). God knows if it makes any difference.

I'm not testing until Saturday. When do you guys test?

Fingers crossed for you all.

love
Caroline
xx

Hi Sarah
I had af pains too and shooting pains in my ovaries which I still have. I tested +ve last wednesday but was really sore in night with af pains and clinic told me this morning, it was just my body adjusting. Get lots of rest, drink plenty of water and don't over do it.
Good luck for your test next week.
Lots of love
Louise XX
Thanks Lou

beck said she has the same type of pains the week before her test too and you both have made it so I'm keeping everything crossed for myself. pllllleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee let it work!!!!!!

How you feeling now anyway? Feeling pg yet or still feel quite normal?

Love Sarah x
