which bank?

Post by Zed2003 »

Right girls,

I'm being a bit lazy here - this £250 cheque we've got from our wonderful governenment (ha) - which bank have you all decided to go into - though I'd ask before I start trawling through them all to find the best deal!

Hope everyone is well.

Zoe....I've no idea what this 250 quid is all about. Please tell. I won't be eligible I'm sure, I've not lived in the UK for 7 years.....

I'd love 250 quid right now,
Debra.

Hi Zoe & Debra

Its the child trust fund that Zoe is on about Deb, the goverment grant you £250 for your child if they was born I think after 2002.

Zoe I am not sure which one to opt for to be honest, I don't know which one is the best. I know that I am getting post come through to say open here etc... but I don't know which is the best deal so I am also open to ideas.

Love
Shell.

HI girls

Shell - LOL - helpful...... LOL

Deb - sorry - you can't touch it as far as I'm aware - it has to go into a fund that you can't access - I agree, 250 is a nice thought...LOL

It's the child trust fund, the government are issuing chq's to parents to save for their children, applies the children born after the 1st Sept 2002.

All the high street banks will offer it..... Try Barclays.

We have invested ours in the post office one. Hubby trawled through loads of different ones and that is what he decided. It is a share one rather than a savings account.

There are so many options I think some people will just leave the government to choose after the 12 months.
