BigJ,
So good to hear from you!
Sounds like your plans are really getting on the calendar now. Glad to see that! Takes away a lot of anxiety doesn't it? I LOVE to have things nailed down to a date. I'm a little nerdy that way.

Dh's birthday, huh? "Get to bed early"... awe come on, you can be more creative than the "bed." 8)

Meandmine - so your real name is Sharon! :D Glad you are here. Keep us updated. Are you on the test date thread? What is your test date?

My stuff: Polyps are history. I feel great! :!: :D

I miss my sweetie (he's traveling for a month - 2 weeks to go) :!: :!: :!:
Had a nightmare last night that when he got home he didn't want me anymore  Took an hour to shake off the gloomy feeling. This time apart has been good, though. Makes me want to be a better partner to him when he gets back. I have some ego things to work on. I can be such a critic sometimes  And of course, right now, I can't remember ANY of his flaws. :o

Hi Randa & BigJ

Glad to hear you are all keeping busy and taking your mind off 'other' things - sometimes!

Yes Randa, I am on the May thread - test date Fri 6th May but to be honest I have had some quite strong, sharp pains these last two days and I wonder if this could be the dreaded AF on the way. :( Of course the other possibility could be the lining of the uterus thickening (that's what I would like to think anyway) but we'll see. :) Fingers and everything else crossed. Night gals x

Sharon, I've had sharp AF-type pains since soon after EC. Chances are it's a cyst and it didn't hurt my tmt. Think positive!

Randa. I've already had my first amnio nightmare....does it never end?

BigJ - not had a chance to catch up on your news but WELCOME BACK!

Hugs

Debra,

I do have a cyst in actual fact - one. It was picked up at the beginning. Maybe that's what's niggling. Thanks for your comments - much appreciated. Take care.

BigJ - now read your news. SO glad you've got more details re. tmt and that everything is starting to feel real. Great news re. the house. One less thing to worry about.

Randa - I saw that sly  comment about how I dodge the 'how many' issue! I read a story last night of a US surrogate who'd had 5 embroys put back for a couple and yes, all 5 took and she'd delivered 5 boys for the very happy but overwhelmed couple! She waived her fee as they were going to have enough bills going forward! I liked your plans for when DH is home.

Sharon - your preparation does really sound like it worked. Well done. The 2ww is slow and tortuous, you're doing well so far!

I'd love to feel more relaxed right now. Any sharp stabbing pains (like earlier this evening) send me into instant doubt. I half expect blood at any minute. Only 2 weeks to go for a scan (I'll be 7.5weeks which will be comforting and my first 2m will nearly be over).

Hope everyone is feeling happy and positive.

Debra

Stay positive and strong. PMA and big hugs.

Can't wait to hear how the scan goes and how many little people you are looking after :D

Debra,

Here's wishing YOUR next 2 weeks fly by too. I know you have lots of PMA and we all offer you ours too. It feels a bit like the Grand National - you jump the first fence, then the next and the next. It's all consuming and that's why it's so nice to chat to all you ladies. I would have shyed away from discussion groups in the past but this is the best thing I have ever done at this stage of the treatment - thank you all - you're the best. x :D

I've posted this on the other side as well but I thought BigJ & some others might like to know... its official now, we've had our first scan & its twins

At just on 7 weeks they measure 6.6mm & 5.2mm.

We were half expecting it as my HCG levels were high but I must admit seeing it on screen was still a bit of a shock.

As we had 3 embryos put back she did look around for a 3rd but I have to admit that I was quite relieved when there were only two. I think DH would have fallen off the chair if it had been triplet.

I had feelings of relief & excitement when we saw them - last time we had a biochemical & I was dreading the same happening this time. Despite being v tired & nauseous I couldn't really let myself believe it had worked.

Love from an everso slightly shellshocked but very happy Jude :D

Jude - I can imagine how delighted you must be, getting this confirmation after what must seem an age since test day.

I hope all three of you go on to have a healthy and happy pregnancy.

Jude! TWINS!!! How fantastic!!! :D
I'm so happy for you. I realize it must be a shock, but you can do it! Just think, a woman here in AZ had 5 two days ago! Everything went perfect and she is doing great. So you can have two - easy!

"Who else," Debra? I'll tell ya who else... you, BigJ and me! That's who!
Let's face it, at our ages, we need to speed things up.
