Feeling weird - is this normal?

Hi Girls I'm on day 6 of the Puregon injections - dose of 150 and I'm feeling rather odd. My tummy feels weird - kind of bloated but empty at the same time - I know that sounds strage but I just feel a little peculiar...and feel when I move in a certain way that I have got a stitch. Please can you let me know if any of you felt strange during the stimming process....I was expecting a bloated tummy and that was it really - as it is my first time I am not exactly sure what to expect especially as we all have different side effects. I don't go back for a scan till Friday to see if my eggies are growing well. Any advice really welcome. Thanks as always Michelle

Hi Michelle - a bloated tummy I'm afraid is the norm! (it's worse when people think you're pregnant and mention so). The best thing that you can do is to drink lots and lots of water - around 2 litres a day if you can. Unfortunately the bloating doesn't go down as soon as you've had your eggs collected - it takes a while. Your clinic should also be keeping an eye on you in case of hyper stimulation (OHSS). I hyperstimulated on my first attempt, so my dose of FSH was reduced for the next cycle. Don't worry - the whole process is very nerve-wracking the first time round. Hopefully you won't need another go, but if you do it does get easier. Good luck, Alison
