A sad ending

Post by fiona_lk »

Hi all,

Well, it just wasn't meant to be this time after all.

Having been called in for a scan about 11, this showed no sac in the uterus, never mind no heartbeat.

We saw a doc - (Dr Poulson - isn't that your doc Julie?) who explained that the symptoms I've been having over the last few weeks indicates an ectopic. They took another blood sample, and depending on the results of the hCG levels they get tomorrow will give me an injection to stop the pregnancy - better than an op, I suppose.

So, we're a bit shell shocked - prefer a definite -ve from the beginning, but the doc says we must take away the fact that I can at least get pg.

Thanks to everyone whos been there with us and we'll have no doubts that we'll be cycling again in the New Year - and with lots of cycle buddies it seems.

Thanks again and good luck to everyone.

Love Fiona xxx

Oh Fiona that's desperately sad news. After all you'd been through in the last few weeks I'd thought and been hoping that your tale at least would have a happy ending. God this process is so cruel. My thoughts are with you and your partner as you grieve for what might have been.

With much love

Alison x
