Hello! I just got the call from the clinic and my beta went up from 23 to 42! They're happy that the numbers continue to go up even if they're not exactly doubling. I'll have to continue my progesterone and get my bloodwork done again on Tuesday. I'm back to being cautiously optimistic again, hoping I'm one of the few people who have low betas that result in successful pregnancys.

Debra- What do you think should we put a smiley yet next to my test date for now so we could close April's test date thread?

Elle, I think now is a really good time! You've had 3 positive tests in a week. Start to relax and enjoy this part of your pregnancy, because you ARE pregnant!!!

I'll do a search for Joy's posts but I've not seen her news since before her 2nd test - have I missed it?

Well done on today's results.

So....of the 17 definite results (yes Elle, including yours), we've had 6 positives (4 of which to women over 40), a success rate of 35%. OK but could do better. Mayflowers, it's over to you now......

Thank you all! It's sure nice to see that :D . I guess I am SOMEWHAT pregnant after all! It's hard to think that I am actually pregnant because my betas aren't that high like everyone else. Like I said, I will still be cautiously optimistic and will be hanging out here on this side of the board for now.

Debra- No, I haven't read any of Joy's posts too after her first beta. BTW, Thank you dear for my :D How are you doin'? I can't wait until I hear how many babies you'll be having....I'm so excited for you!

Delly- Thank you! I'm glad you are going for a follow-up appointment and planning to go for it in Sept. again. Good luck.

Ok I'll catch everyone else on the May thread, I think I'll be hanging out there.

Hi Caroline,

I am 42 (will be 43 late August) and I just had my first IVF transfer 3 days ago. I had 6 embryos that day, they transferred three--two eight-cells that looked really good and another eight-cell that look just slightly less good. The other 3 did not develop for freezing.

I saw on one of your posts that you had two embryos transferred. I'm wondering, can you tell me how many embryos you had and if there were any they were able to freeze?

Thanks,
Emily

Hi Emily .. Welcome to the Boards .... I'm not sure if Caroline will see your post on this thread. She's more likely to see it if you repost your message on "The Over 40 Crowd" thread on this forum, or the "Pregnant 40+" thread in the "Pregnant After Treatment" Forum.

Good luck with your cycle !!! If you want to post your test date on the May Test Date thread, Little P will add your name to the list. Also, feel free to come and join us on the May 2ww thread. That's where we all go crazy together !

Hi there and welcome to the site

As Sandra's said, if you would like your name to be added to the list - let me know the date and I will gladly put you there.

I hope that you are doing well and coping with things.

PMA, hugs and Baby Dust to you.
