Debra:

Isn't this guy a friend???? Maybe he could slip you some when no one is looking??? Sorry to have brought it up, I'm sure you'll do fine. Do you know your exact due date?

Jessica is having some major fussy crying fits between 6pm and 8pm. I've been reading up on what not to eat when nursing and Dr. Sears recommends giving up Dairy and chocolate first thing to see if it helps. Chocolate is a mainstay in my diet, but I'll try anything to see if I can get her to be less fussy with horrible gas pains. Poor little peanut. Maybe this last 14 lbs will come off faster without chocolate anyway. :P

Just a quickie to let you all know that baby Barny was born on Monday at 8pm. A baby boy of 6lb 8oz. Took us a bit by surprise as wasn't due until 17th May. He is obviously the most gorgeous baby ever ot be born. We are delighted.

Will catch up with you all when my brain is functioning a bit better.

Seems like this might be the week for a few of us. Look forward to hearing news from the rest of you.

Barny, many congratulations. I'm sure he is the sweetest baby boy ever born. Enjoy every wonderful moment. Motherhood still knocks me sideways after nearly 2 years.

Paige. Hmm, not sure I'd want him around under normal circumstances but given how shabby the hospital is right now (the new, huge, beautiful, better equiped, single-roomed maternity block opens mid-2006 so nothing has been spent on the old one for years....) I'd probably take whatever was on offer :) My edd is Boxing Day so I'm only just pg.

Can't wait to hear about all the other babies due this week.

Hiya Paige ! Thanks for the post ... I've just been reading your last couple. You've lost a staggering amount of weight so soon - 24lbs ! Mind you, you were super fit pre-Jessica. You were even on the treadmill during the 2ww ! I'm sorry you're having it a bit tough at the minute with J's crying outbursts. I bet it's upsetting, and I hope you manage to work out what's causing it soon.

I'm hoping for ET on Wed next week. I've posted this already on the General F, but I felt a real twit yesterday. I went for a scan, and as I sat there waiting I re-read the info they'd given me 2 weeks previous, re my medi / doses etc .... and realised that since last Sat I've been overdosing on the HRT tablets. I've been taking 12mg a day, instead of 6mg. What an idiot. I can't believe I've done this, and can only blame it on finally going totally loopy. Anyway, I told Sister who assured me not to worry .. I had the scan, and everything is okay. So .. providing the thaw goes okay on Tues night, all is set for Wed. I can't wait to get into that dreaded 2ww again !

Thanks for asking Paige, and I hope things settle down for you soon. ENJOY !

Sand:

Best of luck to you on Wed. Why can't everyone just be guaranteed a bfp after having to endure this entire load of crap? Seriously, we'll all be thinking of you and sprinkling babydust your way. We need all of our August buddies to have '05 success.

Deb: What is boxing day? I am watching The Contender before Desperate Housewives, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with Boxing day?

So we have Alicia, Tanya and Angela to go yet right? How are you ladies holding up? That last week or 2 can be a bit challenging, but the end is near and you will get to meet your beautiful babies.

Whew! I'm finally getting on the board after delivering two healthy boys on April 25 after a scheduled C-section. They are Jared Seth at 6 lbs. 8 oz. and Emmett Franklin at 5lbs. 3 oz. Both are doing very well.

I had a terrible time with milk coming in very slowly and both boys are on formula now while I try to make up for a poor start. Our dryer broke yesterday. Have also been crying a lot and not sleeping, but I'm reassured that these are normal and some days are mostly blissful - the little boys are angels.

My husband has posted photos here:

Welcome to Baby Barny - I totally know what you mean about the brain not functioning.

Sandra - good luck for Wednesday. We'll be thinking of you!

Debra - Congratulations to you! I've always hoped you would end up on this side.

Paige - I am so jealous of you! I still look VERY pregnant and probably will for a while.

Kate, Tanya and Angela, I wish you much luck with labor, delivery and the first few weeks. Let us know how your little babies are when you get a break from the craziness.

Alicia - FABULOUS news, many congratulations on Emmett + Jared's safe arrival. Thanks for the link, now I can picture you with those two tiny terrors :) Their weights were good for twins, let's hope they settle into a manageable sleep + feed routine. The joy of ff is that others can share the pleasure of feeding them, which is really very cute.

Don't even think about your weight now. It took 9m to go on, it can take that long to come off too. I looked pg for quite sometime after my c-section, don't forget Paige is aka Sporty Spice!

Paige - Boxing Day is December 26th, what do you call it in the US? I hope Jessica is giving you a little more of an evening? Evenings are usually the worst.

Congratuations again Alicia,
Debra

Debra:

Am laughing out loud at your post....Sporty Spice has not been on the treadmill since delivering! My butt and lower stomach are definately very very pregnant still! I only have 9 lbs to go, but I lost a lot of muscle and replaced it with some joyous fat. So there is a lot of work to be done after the 6 week wait is over with. I keep trying on my pants like an idiot, and when they don't fit and totally frustrated!

Alicia! Congratulations! Wonderful job actually getting to the computer to post when you have 2 babies needing your every moment. Believe me, I only have one and the tears have been rolling at times. Especially on days where I have gotten 4 or less hrs of sleep I notice a distinct emotional downturn. I went to your link and Jared and Emmett are beautiful. They are a great size for twins too, you did a wonderful job.

I've found that if I can sleep from 8:30-11:30 it really helps get me through the night, and if your boys are taking bottles try to take advantage of it. Just getting out of bed after the C-Section is tough....I would lay right on the edge of our huge CA king bed so I could just kind of roll off without a lot of effort.

Hang in there....I know it's tough.

Hi Girls

I also got to meet my new babies last week i have 2 beautiful boys born by c section on the 29th of april we have kieran who weighed 5lb 9oz and Adam weighing 5lb 110z

Alicia congratulations girls i know exactly how you feel with the tearfullness and tiredness im exahausted to

barney congratulations to you what a big week for babies to be born there seems to be quite a few of us

my c section was not a planned one my waters broke but i got no contractions just a few tightenings i was offered a pessery to induce them but i also had a high temperature which meant the babies were at risk of infection the docters explained that twin 2 was more at risk if i had natural being the second one out but they left the choice up to me wish they had not really was a difficult decision to make but at the end of the day there was only one thing i wanted and that was for my babies to be born safe and well which they were.

will catch up with you all soon well im feeling a little more normal well done girls

lots of love to you all and the bundles of pure joy
Ang xxx
