Jamato

Well done you for not giving in to the urge to test early - I know it is really difficult, but just try and hang in there. You are doing so well and it is only one more sleep :!:

I can't tell you how much we are all wishing you every success and hoping to hear some positive news tomorrow.

Stay strong, full of PMA and get plenty of R&R.

With best wishes and fingers firmly crossed.

Little P

:?

Stay calm and strong - try not to panic. I know easy for me to say. I don't know if it means anything, but treat yourself as though it does. Get plenty of rest and don't do a thing.

Best wishes, PMA and massive hugs

Hi Girls
Hope you are coping alright and getting plenty of rest. Use this time to pamper yourself, I think we can safely say you've earned it.

Thank you so much everyone .... They've changed their procedure since my last cycle in that I have to do a hpt on test day, and ring them with the result. If it's +ve, I then go in 3 weeks later for a scan. I think that's a bit rubbish, but I suppose it takes away the worry about hormone levels etc.

Also, another new procedure was that they scanned me yesterday, as baby embi was being replaced. We could see her going up the cathetar and being plopped out into the womb. They say they've had better results since doing this, as they can see that she's in exactly the right place. We'll see !!

Hope everyone else on their 2ww is coping okay...? TJ and Jamato - I'll look for your good news later on.

Sandra x

(ps. On a few occassions at work, I've found myself signing off e-mails as "Sandra x" - and have just managed to lose the "x" before sending !)

Hi all you 2ww

Sandra - Where I went last time they scanned me during the ET but I was up & out as soon as it was over & I also had to go a hpg.

I'm not on the 2ww yet but hope to be on 18th May. I've already spoken to my boss and he has given me the 2ww off work so I'm lining up books to read & DVD's to watch. Just wondering if you guys have any other things to recommend doing/not doing - my DH was joking with the consultant yesterday that he is preparing a list of things for me to do i.e. wash windows, gardening etc  - I told him to dream on :!:

After ET last time I was back at work after a couple of days so as this is my last cycle I'm going to try & give it the best possible chance of succeeding.

Pauline ... This is your perfect excuse to get out of ANYTHING you don't want to do ! (Just give me the nod - I can then post it on here, and you can let dh see the post). For example :

Must not wash up for first 10 days after ET
Must be presented with breakfast in bed from days 1 - 7

etc ..!!

No - seriously ... over the months there have been many posts on this subject. I'll see if I can find some of them when I get a few minutes.

I was up and out straight after ET too - via the loo !

Pauline,

Good for you taking the two weeks off. I have taken the same approach this time. This treatment is our last (I am the grand ole age of 43!). I test tomorrow :? As everyone will agree, the 2ww can be a mish mash of so many emotions - I think for us all to have got this far is fantastic, whatever the outcome, although of course we all hope and pray for a big + ive at the end. You are right to get plenty of books, dvd's to the ready. I was afraid to lift a finger during the first few days after ET. I literally did everything by the book (Zita West's book!) and rested totally for 3 days. Thereafter, I think you do what your body tells you (within reason) although I must admit, I have been itching to get out a mow the lawns! Wishing you lots of PMA and luck during the 2ww.

I hope that you are all ok and that the waiting is not getting to be too much for you.

Sharon, one more sleep sweetie and you're there. Fingers crossed for you and I'm looking forward to hearing some positive news.

Pauline, Sandra's pulled the Do's and Don'ts thread up for you - it is full of really helpful hints on things to do and not to do. Thanks Sandra.

PMA to you all and plenty of Baby Dust floating your way.

Just want to say stay strong and hope your doing ok, I was one of them that tested a day early and got a negative result. The next day on my official test date the clinic made me test again and I got a positive. The thing is nothing is official until your test date. I am now blessed with a 15 month old son so I don't want any of you putting yourself through any life stresses by testing early OK?

Julie

Sounds like you need a big hug and huge amounts of PMA to help you out.

P M A

It's a really difficult time because there are no definite signs to look out for - some people experience things, some don't. Oh why can't something about IVF be simple :? Stay strong and just remember to get loads of R&R.

Fingers crossed, hugs and Baby Dust to you.
