Hi
Thanks for the info re IM, I have emailed them again and keep checking my email for a reply, I want to go now! It was only Weds night that I emailed them though so I'll give them a bit longer! Thought I'd bring this back to the board again incase there is anyone else reading that is interested, I know I wouldn't have known about going to Spain if I hadn't read about it here...It's funny, I have a much better feeling about this than about the clinic I am with here in the UK especially as the success rates are so high.
I WILL have my twins!!
How are you doing? getting excited?
Love
Kat xx

Hi Kat

I still can't believe they are taking so long to come back to you, they were back to me in 24 hours !!! I've checked the card they gave me and will PM you the Fax and telephone number. I want you to get started too

I am fine, 3rd patch goes on tomorrow, they are so easy to use. Started getting a bit emotional, hormones I think plus also it's all getting very real now    Just checked flights for end next week/beginning following week as it's a major holiday weekend here in Germany (just our luck!!) and we will probably have to change in Zurich to keep the budget OK (i'd rather spend money on yummy food that a plane!!)

You will get going soon sweetie, and you will get your twins PMA

Love and kisses

Kat

Like BigJ, I went to IM for DE treatment & can honestly say they were more thorough, understanding, helpful & friendly than the clinics I was registered with in this country.

The first treatment produced a +ve result but it turned out to be a biochemical pregnancy, the second (FET) was unsuccessful but after the 3rd go I am now 8 weeks pregnant with twins.

I'm sure BigJ has told you, they now have an english doctor, Victoria Walker - who is absolutley fantastic, so any queries you may have regarding technical terms in Spanish are no problem.

And on top of everything else, Barcelona is a lovely city to visit.

BigJ - hope you're getting on ok with the patches, just wait until the treatment works and you have to have one on each cheek  My bum now looks like a pepperoni pizza

Good luck with the endo scan.

Love

Jude

Saw your other post - 12 eggs is brilliant! Hope you get a load of good embies from that lot.
I will email them again tonight - do you think maybe someone is on holiday or something?
I don't want to annoy them...it says on their website they will reply as soon as possible, maybe they are just busy
Anyway, take care and let us know how you get on, will be thinking of you

I've no idea why they are taking so long, it's wierd, maybe they do have a wait for appointments right now, but then they could email you and tell you that couldn't they???

did you try a fax??? if you call you get through to the main desk, they whizz you to the "international bit" but don't speak English, you could try calling but it seems really to be reserved for people in tmt, doesn't help you does it??

why don't you do what I did and email ivi and ceram as well as just see who responds first?? maybe this time ivi will be faster??? IVi were recommended to us by our German clinic, we took IM mainly cos the appointment was a month earlie, and I have seen peeps on boards waiting for donors from there, I guess that's the crux in the end, but if Im takle a month to email you back (which still surprises me) then it's still a wait. I know Ruth from Ceram (the nurse) said there they have no waiting list for brown eyes..maybe worth a try - then you get a holiday in Marbella

Love and kisses

Hello, nice to have you back, hope you & your little embies are doing fine & taking it easy.
I don't understand why they aren't replying either, I suppose maybe I wouldn't expect it but from what you said I thought they would be quick. I don't know what to do now, I had my heart set on IM, shall I email again, on my last one I did say even if you can't give me an appt can you tell me what tests to get done. I'm starting to think maybe I didn't give them enough info or ask the right questions or something but I am sure I did. I would have thought they would have replied even if they couldn't tell me anything, do they only have one English speaking person who reads emails and they are on holiday? Do you think I should email someone direct and not the info email address?
I will have a look at the others too (just when I bought a rough guide to Barcelona...!) and see what they say.
Anyway DH has just come in for tea now, speak later
Love Kat xx
PS I didn't imagine you like your photo, I thought you would have curly hair, don't know why

Hi Kat

there are two girls that work on the communication stuff in english, Fred and Lurdana and they both speak english. Of course Dr Oliveras and Dr Victoria Walker speak English too but they don't go on email except for medical issues during tmt.

email them again and perhaps put in the header that it's the 3rd try, you could also say in the text that you are worried that you haven't heard. I wouldn't worry about annoying them, I am sure they are used to emotional women

If you still get no reply then maybe I'll try emailing them on your behalf see if that works

Only time I had curly hair was at uni when I had henna and a perm like Ronald Macdonald  8)

Hi J, thanks for the advice, I'll let you know if I hear anything this time round. Maybe I shouldn't be so impatient. How are you feeling? Positive I hope, I am keeping everything crossed for you that is at all crossable.
Ronald McDonald hair sounds luuuurvely ! I too used to have a perm and then I went blonde after that - really bad move!

it's an age thing sweetie, perms were really in weren't they and they looked so cr*p

You are not being impatient, I'd be bl**dy cross if I had waited 3 weeks for a reply for a first appointment - or maybe they came back fast cos we emailed in March and asked for an appt in mid April??? Let me know how it goes, and I am serious, if you PM me with your real name and email I'll email them for you and see if that helps

Jools - The most incredible thing has happened!!!!!!!
You will NEVER believe this!!!!!!! Picture the scene, just putting garlic bread in the oven, the phone rang and it was Frederique from IM!!! I had not put a phone number on my email and she had found me through international directory enquiries!!! with just my name and email address - how the bl**dy hell did she manage that - the woman is a miracle worker she doesn't even know what part of the UK I am in!!! She has sent me about 10 emails and they have not got through so I must have a problem with my email and i have given her my work email and she is going to send everything through to me and she was so lovely and she had been so worried that I was not getting her emails. OMG can you beleive that!!! This has to be a good sign doesn't it??? We will most likley have an appt in Sept as they don't do in July/Aug too many people on holiday I think but plenty of appts in Sept so it gives me time to sort out all tests and then get going after the summer.
I still can't beleive how she got hold of me
sorry about that long post I am a bit exctied!!!!
Better go check that garlic bread
