I am really pleased to have finally got to this stage.

At the beginning of last week there was a possibility that the cycle was going to be cancelled because my oestrogen levels were low. Anyway on Wednesday I had ec and they got 14. 8 of which were suitable to be injected (icsi) and 8 of which fertilised. We were so over the moon. Had et on Friday and had 4 frozen (last time we only had 1 put back and non frozen so we are really really pleased with the outcome.

Now I have that long wait - I'm only on day one and bored already! Not sure how I will last until 2nd December.

Well done Becky - I saw that you were having three put back today - hope to hear from you soon.

Is anybody else on the 2ww???
Hi Julie - I'm waiting like you, and like you had 8 suitable for ICSI all of which fertilised, but I think they felt that the ones that didn't go back in weren't suitable for freezing. I had e/t on Thursday, and am going back for a blood test on 26 November - don't understand why I can test so much sooner than you?!

I'm feeling fine - have had a couple of very dossy days, and will go back to work on Monday. This is our third go - last time had a biochemical pg so this time they've got my on lots of drugs to try and "tip me over" into a proper pregnancy. How about you?

Alison
hiya julie and alison,
Just thought i'd pop in and say hello. I'm on day 1 of my 2ww, had IUI yesterday, and am feeling very tender and sore, they didn't half pull me about!!!
I'm due to test on the 29th of the month and it cant come soon enough. Only problem is that my nipples have suddenly becom incrediby sore. Any of you have this? I had a few side effects from the buserelin and puregon, a few hot flushes and chronic insomnia, but my breasts wernt tender or sore at all, untill yesterday afternoon, and now they are killing me. It hurts to even wear my bra...oh well enough of feeling sorry for myself. How are you two? Good i hope. I have decided not to go back to work till i know one way or another, i'm lucky because i can choose when i work, so it's not been too much of a problem. Anyways, you take care girls, and i hope to talk to you soon.
Loadsa love,
Heather xxx

Hi Becky,
Congratulations getting to this stage and good luck to both of your "EM & EM".
What a great attitude you have - enjoy the 2ww, like you said that feeling of a possible pg is a great feeling (even with all the doubts and worries) there is still a bit us that stays positive and knows that there could be "our dream" inside us so that feeling is worth grabbing.

Wishing you all the luck in the world

lisa xxx
Hi guys,

Am also in the2ww - so glad to hear other people had sore nipples n all, I think it must be the booster shot. Have period like cramps again after a few days of nothing - so am anxious since Monday is possibly AF day, if I get past Monday without that then will be more optimistic for testing on 21 st.

Tina, your test maybe on day 11 if the clinic counts from the day of ec ? Would that make it 2 weeks ?

Goood luck to all !
S
Hi Susi

Yes, I suppose they must count from ec not et...testing as soon as possible would be great!
I have so many aches and pains - here's hoping these are all good signs.
Good luck for your test on the 21st.
Love Tina

Hi gang - cor, what a lot of us! I must admit that my main side effect at the moment is that I'm feeilng as horny as hell!!! Went off sex completely while doing the earlier drug stuff, but since being told at e/t, "nothing at all in the vagina for the next 2 weeks!" with a pointed look at my dh I've been able to think of nothing else!! Fortunately dh is finding injecting me in the bum each evening something of a passion killer, and I wouldn't really want to risk anything, but its driving me mad! Not sure whether its anything to do with the hormones or just a case of you want what you can't have! Anyway, enough of my sex-crazed ramblings - I'll just go and have a cold shower (or does that only work for boys?!)

Here's hoping for early Christmas presents for all of us!

Much love

Alison x
I am new to this forum but just had my first IVF transfer yesterday. I have just started my wait. Actually I go for my pregnancy blood test the day before Thanksgiving. I had a 5 day transfer of 3 embryos. I am 38 years old so I am hoping this works. We had to pay for it all on our own. My isurance does not cover IVF.

I'm keeping positive thoughts and hope I am one of the lucky ones!!

Hi everyone, great to know we are not alone on this long journey of the 2ww.

I have had bad constipation but have found that prunes really do the job!! Not had the sore boobs but like you alison have been feeling rather horny - I'm sure its just that fact that we can't that makes me want to.

Last time I had the hcg injection, but this time having the pessaries which I have not got used to properly yet.

Trying to stay calm and relaxed helped by eating lots of chocolate and I have even started knitting. My test day seems so long away, wonder why I am so long at 18 days?
