Hi!!!!!

Post by Almaduke »

I'm a newbie here so please excuse my not being in the swing of things yet! I posted an introduction in general and in Introduction, for anyone who's interested. I'm soooo happy that I found this forum....I feel so much more at ease already with my situation!!

We are hoping to start our IVF cycle in June or July. I'm nervous but excited at the same time! It's great to know that I will be in good company!

What am I doing to prepare my body? I've been taking my multi-vitamin everyday, trying to reduce my jelly belly by cutting down on my sweet-intake and walking a lot!!

Good luck all!!!

Almaduke :- OHSS means Ovary Hyper Stimilation Syndrome. It's when you produced too many eggs, It puts you into some danger. There's a bit about OHSS on this site which will help you understand more.

Hi girls! I am back from my weekend in Vienna with DH. Welcome newbies - Mia and Almaduke, and welcome Kagome!

Before my train trip to Vienna I went to my OB/Gyn to make sure everything is functioning ok after our last IVF. I check my ovulation with temps and sometimes OPK as a double check. Well last week my temps were doing weird things and the OPK was positive for over 3 days! My doc checked out my ovaries and my hormone levels. I had 2 huge follies - one right and one left both 24 mm!! (I had more pain then during stimming) And my LH was sky high...so I took the express train to Vienna to be with DH    I am hoping his guys are still swimming good (motility was very, very low.. but went up to 56%). I still have the hopes of hopes of conceiving 'naturally'...but it is also fun trying!

Also I gave all my paper work to my Ob/Gyn from my IVF...she was appalled at the quality of the embie and is actually phoning my fertility clinic to 'have a word with them'...cuz they never gave me feedback on improving quality. She was also quite upset they couldn't control my LH better to prevent me from ovulating early...for me it is all lessons learned.

I was very, very bad this weekend....lots of wine, cakes and lounging about!!

Acunpuncture on Friday..I am really looking forward to this! Any words of advise?

Lumi

Fantastic to have you back here and with such good news as well :D

As you can see there are going to be a few of us cycling together. I think you are going to be like me starting as a Blooming Mayflower, finishing as a JuJu Jelly Baby.

Let us know how your appointment goes, but will be thinking of you and sending loads of PMA your way.
