Back in the saddle!!!

Post by sammys »

 I must be crazy but I'm diving into IVF #2! I know compared to some that #2 is nothing, But after #1 failed I sort of went into hiding....My first one only 1 of my eggies fertilized and was put back on day 2(4 cell). 6 eggs were retrieved. I've had high fsh (as high as 15.4) I'm not down regging this time because my Dr. wants to see if we can stimulate more follicles. I've been going for acupuncture on and off and have been taking Ovulex...Here's to FERTILITY!!!!!! I bumped into an old friend at a restaurant on Mother's day and at her feet in two baby seats were the most beautiful set of b/g twins you've ever seen!!! I told her that she was so blessed and that I was doing IVF, and she said..."How do you think I got my babies??" I took it as a sign!!!!

Hope all of you are doing well

Hi Sammy ... It's good to see you back and ready to go again ..!! Each cycle takes a lot of strength and does take it out of you. A couple of months in hiding has probably done you the world of good. Your doctor has new ideas, so that can only be good.

Here's hoping for a smooth, successful cycle no 2.

Good luck with #2, it's amazing when you start tmt that you find out just how many other couples have babies as a result of IVF isn't it?

Are you cycling in May or June?

Hi Sammy, sounds like you're all revved up and ready to go!!! Good luck. Just out of curiosity, how long did you wait before you thought about #2? Our 1st cycle failed just last week and DH is making appointments to see the consultant already but I feel too sad to do anything.

Claire

A lot of hospitals want you to have 2-3 cycles inbetween each treatment. The most important thing is for you to be ready to go again. Get yourself through this one before planning the next treatment. Give yourself time to come to terms with the result before ploughing through another treatment.

I wish you loads and loads of luck with the next treatment, whenever that is.

WOW guys, Thanks so much for the welcoming arms!!!!! I'm so glad I decided to post...I wasn't going to at first because it failed the first time and ya know how you want to do EVERTHING opposite of a failed cycle?? Yes, I'm rambling..I'm just so glad to have my thoughts back and am soooo ready to try again. I start on bcp's in about a week! I know dh enjoyed a couple of months off, it did us a world of good...

CJB, please don't give up hope and trying for YOUR well deserved little baby...i thought it was the end of the world for a bit too, but you just have to take some time for you and dh...make love because you like to not have to!!! You'll find that you actually enjoy a little rest from the strict regiment!! Loads of prayers to you and everyone who stand so strong for those of us who can't stand for themselves...

love Sammy

Hi Sammy,

This group was a god send for me :D ....I just hit my second IVF ICSI cycle and unfortunately it was a -ve :( , but I took it much better this time!! My first time was back in 2002 and it took me this long to try again!!! I freaked, I was not prepared and had nobody that understood....I was in denial, I was screaming at Dr's and mostly cause I didn't understand why. A lot has brought me back and hope to be trying again in June (heard that 3's a charm) I have also grown in my faith and understand a lot more about the process....Hey you can also look at it this way....A couple trying to concieve naturally still usually needs to try for 6 months before success.....

Welcome!!!
