When I tested positive yesterday I felt really overwhelmed but so happy, anyway I thought I will call the clinic, doctors and work(after my family and you guys of course)well the clinic is a constant answer machine so I left a message.I got a doctors appointment at 10.30 she was a new female doctor but when they said new I thought new to the surgury not new to being a doctor!!!DH came in with me and she divered about then put on her computer screen PREGNANT No smoking No Alcahol, she then put the date of ET in and that was it,I am sure they should test you, anyway by this time I was getting a funny pain in the right hand side of my lower abdomen so I asked her and she said no that will be fine.
When I got home still no answer from clinic so I thought I would tell work,I am cabin crew so I need to go to office duties straight away,no one is there(that never happens),so I thought I will call the clinic(pain is still there and I am getting worried)and I got through to a women who was very hard to understand she told me I needed a 6 week scan and I said I thought I got one in 10-14 days time No she says 6 weeks so I wright a date down and ask her about about my pain and she said if there was no blood then it was fine, there was also some confusion about cyclogest I thought if you were pregnant you carried on taking it and she said no you don't need it you have no history of misscariage and I said but I have never been pregnant anyway sorry this is a real rant.By about 5 o clock pain in my tummy was upsetting me not that it was painfull just that it was there so I called the clinic back I left a message and luckily they called me back the nurse said it did not sound ectopic but my uterus accomadating the pregnancy, she also said if I want to take cyclogest carry on,so I felt a bit releived anyway looked on the internet and it sounds excactly likr ligament pain so feel over the moon now, sorry to go on but I was so scared
I bet you were Tyler .... and unfotunately, no doubt you'll remain scared for the next 9 months !! You've been through so much to get to this stage, you will be agonising over every twitch ...
I was going to say that my hospital scans after 3 weeks, and tells you to continue with the Cyclogest.
I'm glad the nurse managed to alleviate your fears. Now, relax today. Yesterday was mind blowing !!

You poor thing, I know it is very hard but just try and relax. Having never been pregnant I can't tell you about the pain but I know lots of girls on here who have had +ve have said the same thing, that they have had quite a lot of pain early on. Keep thinking positive thoughts about that little embie, growing nicely into a beautiful baby
As for the cyclogest I know my clinic said that with a +ve they used to tell you to use it for the first 12 weeks, think they might have very recently just changed it to 6 weeks.
Am sure you will get lots of good advice on here!
Take care and another big congratulations on your +ve!

some doctors and nurses have no bed side manner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you can always call and different place and ask them what they do..
it is could that you kept calling them..
part of there job is to keep us informed and to keep us or try and tyo keep you from worrying..
our pregnaciese are everything to us and we dont take them lightly..
if it was me i would ask that if she could spen a little time with me so i dont have to keep calling back all day..
hang in there...
we werent blessed with our babies to raise here but we our blessed with our grandaughter

Keep us posted on this side... we're suckers for goos news
Meanwhile take time to enjoy your pregnancy and live the really good things!
Oh Tyler - some people should go to bed manners school - and learn to be more sensitive Hope you are ok now?
One thing that has set me off today is the mention on this thread about carrying on with the cyclogest as I only have enough to get to Friday morning so if I do get a postive (touch wood - fingers crossed etc) what will I do? As I am going away for a couple of days and will not be able to get to the hospital?!!! Never - calm down Julie might not come to that!!
So off on a rant again

Would it be an idea to err on the side of caution - phone the hospital and tell them you will run out on Friday and will not be around for a couple of days to pick some more up. I am sure they could give you another couple of days supply to take away with you. Remember stay positive and believe in your little embies.
Thanks Little P I will give them a ring in the morning

Julie .. I haven't even enough Cyclogest to last me 'til test day. So, it's either another 70 mile trip, or maybe my GP will do me a prescription ..? I'll give him a ring first I think ... Wldn't you think the hospital would make sure you had enough medi ??

Sandra - thanks that has made me feel better - what would I do without you
I got a bit worked up as I hate phoning the hospital because it depends who you get and some of them are great really great and a few make you feel stupid I will phone in the morning and ask them just in case - I can't believe they didn't even give you enough till test day maybe your GP can help they sounded nice about the sick note.
