Hi Ladies, another question.
Obviously after our failed attempt we are looking at starting again after Christmas. I feel a whole load of loyalty to my current clinic but you can't ignore the attraction of the success rates at the Assisted Reproduction and Gynaecology Centre in London.

Has / is anyone having treatment there?
What was the result ?

Appreciate any feedback anyone has.

Thanks all

LOL
Terri
xxxx

[Edited by tshepher on 18-Nov-02 14:18]
HI - i am not planning to use argc although it was second on our list. we are going to have first consultation at London Fertility Centre on dec 5th. I think we opted for lfc over argc because - oddly - neither my gynie nor my husbands urologist (long history!!) - recommended ARGC . ODD. we decided to go - for teh time being! - with their recommendations. Don't really understand why they didn't recommend it. When I asked my gynie - he said he didn't really know anything about it? Is it quite new? i too was amazed at their results. I have to say I did call them and even got an appointment - in the end tho , I didn't quite feel as comfortable with them as LFC - dont know why - so for now sticking with LFC. Sorry not much help!
I think Kirsty C is using ARGC tho.
We're at ARGC and have had 2 failures, which proves it doesn't always work (statement of the bleedin' obvious!) I can't fault their attentiveness or kindness, and as I'm in the middle of my 2ww I'm hoping that at the end I'll be a positive statistic for them! I would say that they are very interventionist, particularly now we're on to our 3rd go. As I mentioned, I'm in the 2ww wait and am doing heparin (blood thinning) injections morning and night, (big) gestone injections every evening, plus taking another pill 4 times a day plus of course aspirin and folic acid - I do feel as if they're trying absolutely everything!

Hope this helps

Alison
Hi Terri,

We are using ARGC.. it's our first time & we basically chose them due to results. There is a 3 month waiting list usually for inital consultation, but after that things move quite quickly. We had our first consulation the week b4 last which went well and are due to start in January ( due to christmas.. so annoying as I am now very impatient!!! ).

Our inital impressions are good, but obviously it's early days...
Whatever clinic u choose, best of luck with your treatment Terri !

Kirsty
XXXX
