Just wanted to say hello and see how you are all doing. I am on here and also trying to support my friend on her new site. She did have one but now she has created another, if you want to have a nose around please feel free to come and have a look www.bumpstomums.co.uk its nice. I do enjoy my time on here and have got to know so many people but I also want to support my friend. I just need to download some photo's of Alex on there and then you can see my little baby, well not so little anymore.
lovely to hear from you - I don't get on here as much as I'd like to, but I've missed you - How's Alex? I know what you mean about the 'not so little' aspect! Jay's 15 months now and only has 6 teeth! He's nearly mastered the walking but is still cruising around the furniture - he'll get there though! He loves his food and eats almost everything I try him with, although he's not too partial to fruit unless it's disguised in custard!! He can nearly say the cat's name, birdie, bottle, woof woof - although they all sound very similar to the untrained ear!
How's Alex getting on? I've got a jpeg of him so will try to get that on somewhere.
I'm glad you reminded me of your friend's website as I had lost it and couldn't return so I'll have a look on this afternoon.
How are you getting on being back at work??
Hope you and Lee are OK now as well.
Love to you all,
sally xxxx

Lovely to hear from you, I wonder each day how you are getting on, isn't it scary where the time goes.
Jay sounds just like Alex, Alex asn't mastered the walking either but he will walk when I just hold one hand, will Jay do that as well?
Alex is saying quite a few words I am so proud of him Sally.
What sort of foods do you give Jay?
I mean Alex doesn't have chips and if I do him a jam sandwich or anything he won't eat it. All he will do is squash the bread and throw it on the floor. I have tried him a few times doing this but it doesn't make any difference.
My Mom & Dad are going to Cyprus next week so my MIL & DIL are having Alex. I really do hope he is ok.
Work is going ok glad I only work part time, how is work treating you.
Thank you for saying you will take the time to look at my friends site, I appreciate that you don't always get on here but I must say its nice when you do because we are able to catch up.
Shell,
Sorry for the relay in replying but work has been mad.
Got your PM and I just wanted to say youre so brave and I admire you so much! I don't think DH and I ever argued as much as now Jay's here, and I think that's true of everyone. I really didn't think we'd argue as much as we do - much more than before. I just think it puts an enormous strain on any relationship. At least one good point is that if you're on your own for the time being Alex won't be hearing any rows, and he can have all your time.
I do hope and pray things get better.
Jay still loves his food, and I still cook everyhtiing for him. His favourites are: vegetable chili with rice and cheese, beef sttew, roast chicken dinner, cottage pie, fish pie, anything with pasta in, anything with rice in, jacket pot, beans and cheese. He also loves his puddings - esp jelly and anything at all featuring custard! Every so often I'll make something like a pear sponge, and cut it into small portions, pour a bit of custard on then freeze the portions - they freezxe really well. Also, I have discovered flaked rice - you can make rice pudding in 15 mins - you can'#t freeze it but it keeps for 3-4 days inthe fridge. Jay's not overkeen on fruit - esp if it's not really sweet. He only ever has a couple of magic Stars or Buttons if he's eaten all his tea - but he is particularly partial to Jaffa cakes so I have discvered! I found there's a babycentre site on the web and that has loads of really good recipes for older babies.
I've discovered Organix baby snacks - they're bags of things like Wotsits, but organic and without any chemicals or sugar or crap - Jay loves them and theyre an excellent bribe if you're out and about!
Work is OK, but I miss things so much - for instance he took his first proper steps (just holding fingers) in nursery yesterday and I missed it - then whn I got home he didn't want to do it agian! I keep telling myself that I'm being selfish, as he does really love nursery, but I do miss him somethimes. But then I think that we would have to move to a caravan or something if I didn't work so it's all a question of balance I suppose. I'm glad I still have my Mondays off though as we have a great day together - esp now the weather's getting better.
I wanted to reply to this first as I've been thinking of you a lot recently, but have been too mad in work to get on, so am going to have a look at the other pics of Alex you've posted. The one I've seen on this thread is gorgeous - he is going to be one heartbreaker!!
Shell - please can you tell me how to post a pic of Jay? I have one as a JPEG but have tried to cut and paste it but I can't - please can you help oh great computer whizz kid!!
I'm going to have a look at your firends' site tomorow lunchtime.
love Sally xxxx
He's got a bit of eczema under his nose which won't seem to go away - does Alex ever have this - do you have any tips please?
