Hi everyone,
I got my bloods early and it was a definite negative. I did a HPT on Wed which showed positive and then the one on thurs was negative. So i called the clinic and they said I could come in for bloods today. I feel shattered. This is now my 4th cycle and i want to cycle again straight away but I don't know if I am strong enough to do it. Right now all I want to do is hibernate. They said the positive was prob from the trigger shot which obviously took longer to leave my body than it normally does. My husband is also very disappointed and sad. How do people keep going?? Good luck to all those testing now...and big CONGRATUALTIONS to those who are on their way to expecting!

Lana ...Why has your clinic agreed to test you early ..? Naughty clinic and naughty Lana !! Now - that's enough telling off. I can totally empathise with how bad you're both feeling right now. There is no easy way of dealing with it. Just try to let your emotions out, rather than holding it all inside. It will take a while, but it will get easier. Take care

I'm so sorry to hear your news, its must be soul destroying for you. Maybe next time your result will be positive - take some time to get yourself turned round after the treatment and give your lovely daughter a huge hug

You and I both know that you hold a miracle in your arms and that nothing anybody can say can change how you feel right now....I can however, empathize getting similar news (however it only being my second IVF ICSI)
I am in the US and not sure how different our clinics are from the rest of the world, but my clinic WILL NOT do two consecutive IVF cycles they make you wait one full cycle in between....However, they always schedule a consult to follow up the result....If -ve the consultation will be a discussion as to what Dr Cardone believes happened, how treatment will change and what we can learn from this cycle (WE ALL KNOW THIS IS NOT AN EXACT SCIENCE) I learned in my consultation that the clomid thinned my lining too much (which does happen with Clomid but not with everyone) Therefore when we went for transfer my lining was borderline and obviously not healthy enough for implantation...That gave me closure and now I just totally look forward til June!!! Here are positives! my AF was right on time and already done and gone....unlike other couples we can enjoy each other all during the month of May (we don't generally have sex during an IVF cycle cause of the risks)...Think about other things that you enjoy, treat yourself to a glass of wine, by yourself something nice and start concentrating on the next cycle....I am positive cause I am not ready to give up, I want this too much to give up......

i'm new here, but i've been through a lot.. starting back since 1997... I have really bad PCOS and we tried clomid, then clomid with IUI, then Follistim with IUI, then we moved to IVF...
1st IVF +ve we have a boy almost 4 years old
2nd-3rd IVF canceled for drops in my E2 or OHS
4th ivf -ve
5th ivf cancled cycle OHS
6th ivf +ve, then lost him 5 weeks
7th 8th ivf canceled for drops in E2
9th we are on the 2WW... tests on 5/17/05 Keeping my fingers crossed.
i did take a HPT today, and -ve, maybe too earily. i'm just going nuts waiting.... my DH doesn't want me to take the HPT, but i want to take one everyday!! it also helps me try and prepare again for the emotional rollercoaster we ride!!
Hi again Colleen ... You must be strong to have been through so many treatments. Little P will add your name to the Test Date list. You are torturing yourself with the HPTs girl .... So many times we've seen a -ve HPT result the day before test day, only to be followed by a +ve on test day. It's really not worth the angst - listen to Dh !

i know that the HPT are aweful, but in a way, they can help me hope for the best but also, prepare for the worst. although, i think that the worst is the waiting for the phone the day of "the" test.
it good to know that there are others out there thinking and hoping like me!! crossing everything they own for good luck!!
I did a HPT on the right day and it was -ve phoned the hospital today and the test I did is good enough to get an acurate answer (clearblue) no bleeding as yet
