What a week everyone is having!! I have finally found time to read the board, been really busy at work this week almost done 12hr days, so really tierd.

Well, it's good to hear so much good news and although some of you had had some disappointments i'm glad you're keeping a PMA.

Eskavon - I really felt for you when you had such a poor EC and fertilisation. However, it has turned out well, so sending you lots of baby dust for a possitive result on 27th May.

Nicki - you must be having a real tough time of it. I can't believe your boss, especially his remarks about his pregnant wife, knowing what you are going through. I wonder what his attitude would be if his wife wanted time off work for IVF and her boss was being a complete s**t like he is being - I bet he wouldn't be happy. Well, good for you for getting signed off, just forget about work now and give yourself some TLC because you deserve it.

Update - had blood test on Friday, going for scan on Monday then I will find out if I am able to start stimming - I'm keeping everything crossed but am also really nervous as I know that this is another hurdle to cross and I really want to get onto the next stage of treatment.
Me - 30 DH - 41
1st cycle (ICSI) - terminated
2nd cycle DIVF/ICSI - terminated
Change of clinic
3rd cycle DIVF/ICSI April 06 - BFP (miscarried at 6weeks)
4th cycle DIVF/ICSI Oct 06

Now Sunday evening is here almost, I am starting to get that sunday night feeling, you know the feeling before monday morning. Ahhhh!!!

I am worried about speaking to my boss, i know i have the clinic's letter to say i am under going treatment, but I am wondering if i should contact my gp to get the official 'doctors note'
Just dont want to face him to be honest, just the sight of him will make me feel sick.

Hi Nicola .. I don't think the hospital letter will cover you for the second week off ... as far as I know, you'll need an offical 'sick note' I'm afraid.

Well, you don't need a sick note for the first 7 days off, so you can just ring in sick tomorrow ?? .. and in the meantime get an apptmt to see the GP for the end of the week, or even next Monday ?

Well - what about going in to see him tomorrow, armed with the hospital letter. Explain that you've called to see him out of courtesy, to explain face to face that you are needing time take the next couple of weeks of sick, and that a doctor's note will follow.... that you have tried to fit your hospital appointments into your working life, but due to their inflexible attitude you are now stressed up to your eyeballs, and your tmt could be at risk due to this. This should shut him up.

I can't see you having any problems actually getting the sick note, from either your gp or one of the other doctors in the practice ... Just explain how tired, stressed and emotional you're feeling, and that you need a break.
