This may sound very silly but it is worrying me no end! I have been sniffing synarel for a week now and have absolutely no side effects. The clinic said that I can't possibly be doing it wrong as long as I am putting it up ny nose and sniffing. I am really worried that it is not working which is why I have no side effects. With my e/c due on 18th Dec I don't have any leeway for an extra week of sniffing because of Christmas. This is my first cycle so I don't know how I react to the drugs etc etc. Did anyone else have a lack of side effects? Did you down reg without side effects? Help!
Hi Janice
I was exactly like you when sniffing. So much so that when I went for my scan last week I told the nurse that I really didn't think it had worked at all. Anyway they did a scan and the lining of my womb was thin and exactly how they wanted it. So please don't worry. We are the lucky ones!
Good luck.
Love, Michelle x
Hi Janice
We are both being treated by Life Centre and I to used synarel and I too had NO side-effects, I think the hospitals scare you when they tell you about the side-effects that you could possibly get but then you don't get them-confused!!!
When I started on my injections my legs were really SORE from the drugs, which didn't help with my sleep, but apart from that no other side-effects again. If you to get sore legs off the injections put a ice-pack or bag of frozen peas on you legs for a couple of minutes.
I hope this has put your mind at ease.
GOOD LUCK and don't worry
Love Debsx
Hi Debs.
What time do you inject? In the pack from the centre it says morning, but that will be quite inconvenient for us. Hubby is trained to do it, but will be asleep when I leave for work.
Janice,

Like everyone else who's replied to you, I had no side effects at all throughout my IVF cycle; even though I'd been warned of all the terrible things that might happen!

My downreg was by one injection of prostap - I can't guarantee with my job where I'm going to be at the same time very morning; and I injected my Metrodin every night at 7pm (ish). I'd check with your clinic, but most people have to inject in the evening.

Hope your lack of symptoms continues!

Andrea
<><
Janice
My hubby injected me in the morning but I suppose anytime would do.
I think the only reason the hospital say inject in the morning is when you get your scans you will always be 1 injections ahead (do you know what I mean), just tell the hospital you are injecting on an evening so that know when they measure your eggs and the lining of your womb and so they do not think you are not reacting to the injections.

GOOD LUCK

Love debsx

[Edited by DEBORAH on 20-Nov-02 22:58]
