only thing that i can say
and please dont think that i am comparing..

but alot of people can agrue very good points on why not to give your child shots...

and there are people out there that can seem to make good arguments about abortions....

it wasnt to long ago that ivf babies where conseder very wrong and where called a test tube baby..
and some people still feel that way..
i just got a up dated photo of woppas daughter and she looks absoutly
beautiful... i cant see her as being a test tub baby or anything wrong like so many people say..
i think ivf as a gift. it is here to try and help us have our dreams..

has this women done any ivf or has she been with someone who has..

there is no way anyone could understand ivf unless they have been there..

but the bottum line is that you need to be ok with it..
i to was worried about cancer as i had it and it runs threw my family..
this is a choice that only you can make cause it is your body..
dont let anyone talk you into or out of anything....
in my church i get to see to wonderful little twin girls that are here because of ivf my own ivf doctor and his wife did ivf a few times before they had there twin boyys..

hang in there and know that you have friends here :)
we werent blessed with our babies to raise here but we our blessed with our grandaughter
and all of our many adopted and foster children that touch our lives
and i am glad to add that our 6th grandchild will be born this spring!!!!

Hi Almaduke ... The phone call to the acupuncturist must have been a total shock. You rang to discuss her protocol / make an appointment, and came away with yet another dilema ..

I think you need to remember that this info / advice is just her opinion. I'm not saying she's wrong, just that as far as I'm aware, there are many acupuncturists who happily treat women going through fertility tmt.

Have you talked to your clinic about your cancer fear ? Have they asked you about your family history, or raised it as issue ..?

Oh, I'm sorry Almaduke .... Just as you think you're being proactive and getting somewhere , something else smacks you in the face.

Wanted to bring Tuesday chat to the top and found this thread...

Almaduke, what did you decide???? I think you should be very careful of your acupuncturist, she is not going to cure your endo is she?? Also telling you that you have 10 years left at 35 is rubbish, apart from the obvious age issues as fertlity naturally reduces, how do you know you wont get early menopause like I did, at 35-37. That makes me mad as I was told similar things and I listened and we did dh's vasectomy reversal thinking we had time, and I took my time rehabilitating my back after an operation, and all the time I should have been getting eggs in the freezer and didn't know. I have no idea about Oestrogen and cancer, but I do think she sounded a bit radical and I would get several qualified medical opinions on that. If your clinic treat you like pooh then you can always change clinics. A few extra miles seems like a pain now, but imagine now that dh and I have to go to Spain for our donor eggs, that gets things in perspective

Anyway, I am at home today so I am going to be around so need someone to chat with

Love and kisses

Big J

It's ok - I don't really get to see what he does that often so it's quite nice for something different to do.

I like your thinking about earning more time off - I shall work on that one
