Sniffing Stuff

Post by LittleP »

Hi - sorry I have a really strange question!!! When I do this "sniffing" thing I get this horrible taste at the back of my mouth - did anyone else get this?

Thanks for your help

Jules - that makes perfect sense, thanks for that (and Becky), I was just slightly concerned as it's not really a natural thing to be doing :D

I shall keep my sniffing up

Oh, my IVIG (great these things that I don't understand :? ) - I think it is either just before the 2ww, during it or after it. I shall have to ask Ellie because she is a pro at this.

I have to admit to knowing very little about it - I did ask when I was there but they said that Mr T would decide as the treatment goes along :!:

At least I have started something now.

Hi Eskavon - thanks for that.

I hope that you are ok and coping with the 2ww. Not long to go thankfully :D

PMA, hugs and huge amounts of Baby Dust to you.

Hi LittleP,

I finished the sniffing this week. The stuff you can taste is the carrier fluid and apparently it's good that it goes down the back of the throat rather than straight back out of the nose!

If you feel like you've got hayever or a cold, it's actually the sniffing that's doing it. My nurse only told me that when I was on my last sniffs!

Good Luck

Thanks Alison, that makes me feel a lot better about all of this.

Sandra and Nicola - it is getting easier, just seems a bit weird sticking this thing up your nose and practising your breathing :?

My only concern is that I have had a slight nosebleed, but apparently having read the blurb this can happen :? Great, Nicola don't tell DH or he really believe his first instincts about my sniffing

Unfortunately I think I have to sniff this stuff for quite a while - mind you by then I should be a pro

Little P
Hope ypu are doing ok with your sniffing. I rang the hospital because i kept tasting things they said it was quite normal. Have you had any side effects other than your nose bleed?
