hahahaha we all have wonky cervix's together!!

They didn't find my until et either - mine's got a bend in it, so they had to get the cervial CLAMP!!! out, attach it and pull like buggery. I too had tears rolling down my cheeks, but didn't cry out loud. Was very difficult to bear and took alot longer than expected. Was all worth the torture though.

And yes, the modesty thing is wierd - whever I walk into the clinic now I instinctively wip my knicks off - only jolking!!!

I don't mind any of it anymore - am so used to it all. The consultant bloke has a good old chat a joke while he's prodding around. Hubby still gets very red faced though.

How are you feeling Nic - what day are you on now?

Hi,

Just to let you know I had an awful time when I had my 6 IUI's. 3 out of the 6 go's they couldn't find my cervix and once they put a clamp on it which was so painful!!! When I went for my first IVF I told my consultant and she said they would do a dummy transfer when I was under general anaesthetic having my e/c. I still find e/t uncomfortable but probably because I'm scared stiff that I'm going to end up in pain but no more painful than a smear.

Tracey

Just wanted to thank you for this strand which has given me a really good giggle! You really do have to laugh with what we have to go through (and the ridiculous facts they tell us about our bodies!). Keep smiling!

Alison (non-wonky cervix but apparently slightly shorter than average womb!)
