I think it's because of being anxious that your period doesnt come!! I am like that... last month I was late, the test -ve even though I knew I wasnt pg. My mind was just hoping and thats what happened my mind said yes my body said no!!

we were given a hpt away with us and told to call with our results.
Our last treatment was at a different hospital and we had to go and hand in a urine sample - so different at each clinic i guess.

Oh Nathalie Anne, what a long drawn out wait yuk!!! although by the time you paid for that many HPTs surley a blood test would be worth it???

I am really lucky, we have been asked to do a blood test, and I thought that would be an issue here and I'd have to pay for it. Im say it's important with donor eggs/menopause as we need to up the hormines right away if +ve, and they like a guide on how many there are

I was also told by the Receptionist on the phone that they do them but the result takes 2 days!!! Luckily I made an appt with my gynae, and she said that was rubbish and they'd do it for me on the insurance, and the results come back same afternoon. Know what you mean about German on the phone though Tracii, how mega cool to be able to see it all on the web, and after 1ww as well wow!!!

Question is will I be strong enough not to do an HPT while I am waiting for the bloods??

I am sure the HPT will be fine Nicola, and if you have doubts you can always ask for a blood test can't you???
