Alison - Your results from your EC are quite normal. Had 21 retreived, 11 were mature and 9 fertilized. I only takes one. No need to stress yourself out on this one. 7 is a very good number!

Princess - I had the insomia issue earlier on and now I am sleeping through the night. It can be tough and it must be because your mind is racing.

I have had such consitipation problems from the meds. My stomach has been very uncomfortable and the worrying about when this is going to stop probably adds to my stress. Sounds like others have constipation also.

Ok now I know I lost it   I posted a really long post here 30 mins ago and it's not here

better do it again then....

I wanted the Romanians to win the Eurovision, I just loved the dudes with the big yellow drums and the chain saws!!!

Hi girlies with bloaty bellies  terrible isn't it!! dh is peeling rhubarb for tonight. It's also swollen though not just blocked isn't it?? Reminds me of when I had collitis (IBS) ages ago, tummy is really tender. Need to move more, went for walkies today with the dogs, that helped a bit. Going to try Lavendar oil massage tonight, so better suck up to dh fast as I have been the woman from hell   today   it's the hormones!!!!
I keep noticing cob webs every where - probably cos I am lying down for a change  we have really high ceilings as our main living area is open plan, like an old chapel - it looks like something out of a gothic novelo or Great Expectations when the sun is out and I am terrified of spiders

I am also having problems sleeping girls, it must be anxiety. Also dreaming a lot, dreamed I was in school in Australia yesterday but I didn't even have a pencil for the art class... and then I was trying to rescue a big pink fish - don't ask   Finding it's better to get up, do something like have something (nutritious of course  ) to eat and then try again....

Alison, we had 3 embies from 12 really great donor eggs from a young woman, we had thought we'd get more. Be happy with your 7 sweetie, it's a very good number, you'll probably be ok for an FET too. I know how you feel waiting to hear how many make it to the morning, I am sure you'll be pleasantly surprised, will think of you PMA++++++

How are you all filling the days, those who are not working???? and Sher - I didn't realise you had worked all last week!! how did it go sweetie, did you manage to take it easy????

Love and baby dust

BigJ .. Isn't it a real pain in the bum when your post just disappears ? That's happened to me a few times and it gets me sooo angry !! I hope you've done all your sucking up to dh by now, and that massage is on the cards ... How's your back today - still playing up ?? I can't believe you're almost there already BigJ ... It seemed like AGES before you joined me on the 2ww ... now you've only 4 days to go !!! 4 days !!! Although that will seem forever to you I know ... This nutrition book you've been talking about sounds like it's worth a read (and a laugh, in parts !?!) .... I think I might just have to get it ... Keep us the PMA and the wacky posts won't you ..!!!

Hi Big J
Hope the rubarb and lavendar rub are going ahead as planned :D
I know what you mean about bloated tums - mine hits on an evening.
Now in need of some advice ..... for the past 2 days about mid to late afternoon I've been feeling very nauseous and light headed ..... daren't read too much into it ..... it could be side effects of pessaries .... or it could be ..... I daren't even write it for fear of tempting fate.
Anyway I'm going to ring the hospital tomorrow to find out why I have to test 17 (yes 17) days after transfer ... maybe they'll let me do it a little earlier. If they say no I promise I'll be a good girl and wait till friday.
As you said on another post Big J ... its gonna be a good week and tons of PMA, Baby dust, Embie Evolving and anything else which will make us all come out with HUGE +++ this week.
No long now ... :D

Hi Eskavon ... my test was 17 days (it's usually 18, but day 18 was a Sat). I know - it just doesn't seem fair when others are 14. I've tried to relate it to the stage of the embryo, but even that doesn't seem to tie up. The light headed / nausea thing sounds kind of promising ?!? I won't say it either .... I've my fingers crossed for you that they'll let you test early. Either way ... lots of PMA Eskavon, and keep taking it easy.

Big J,

You have such a PMA that it overflowed onto me today. Such a beautiful day here and enjoyed relaxing in the sun a short time. I figured a little sunshine might be good for those little embies.

The lavender massage sounds lovely. I might have to steal that idea. We are going to grill out salmon tacos tonight. This is our first attempt at this recipe.

My job is not too difficult. Mostly sitting behind a computer and I go to work to keep myself from going too crazy thinking about all this. In my case it has helped.

Lots of energy today even though the belly is bloated. Not sure what is going on, but I guess I am tired of sitting around. I can relate about the cobwebs. I decided to clean a bit today, but not overdo it. I feel better and I am sure it doesn't hurt to move around a bit.

Just a few more days now. . .sure you don't want to wait test until the 27th? Hee, hee :P

Thanks Sand
Trying to take it easy and do nothing, just gentle dog walking for me.
Hope you're feeling ok, glad to see you're looking forward -you're very brave and I admire you for contemplating the future so soon.
Take care

Hello!

Big J- Yeah we liked the Romanian one... she looked like a younger Ruby wax!! :D
I hate spiders too....
Your dream....
Australia=fear of spider's, lots of 'em out there far worst than in Europe.
School=learning new stuff re; IVF
No Pencil=fear of being un-able to succeed in this IVF
Pink Fish=See your ticker!

Hope that helps, I think it's anxiety dear. Stay calm! :)

Hope every one else is sane!!!

I am busy for the next 3 days visiting friends so boredom paused til Thursday!! :D

use of lavender oil during pregnancy

Post by k »

Hi everyone

I dont want to worry anyone, but been a qualified Aromatherapist we advise against using Lavender essential oil in the first trimester and it is also best avoided after then if you are prone to miscarriages. Please dont panic if you have used it, it is mainly a precaution just like a lot of things we are told to avoid in pregnancy. Some essential oils are safe in pregnancy (although I would probably avoid during first trimester) and some are especially useful during labour but it is best to be safe and check with a qualified aromatherapist or read up on the use of essential oils first.

Well another day rises and thankfully you are all a step closer. I know it's an awful time, but you are all doing so well.

Big J - I have just read your post on the 40+ thread, things sound very positive indeed sweetie. DH must be in his element at the moment by the sounds of things   I hope that you are feeling ok, not long to go - stay positive, I've everything crossed for you.

Nicki - haven't seen you around today, but just wanted to check in and make sure you're ok. You are getting there

Eskavon - I'm sorry you didn't have a good nights sleep - put it out of your mind for now and concentrate on all the positive things. Only 4 more sleeps and you'll be there :D

Jane, Sher8, Alison, Clare (I know I've missed some of you out   ) I do hope that you are all alright and things are ticking along nicely for you all.

Let us know

Hi girls

Back is causing a big problem, it's something i have had a long time I get severe muscle spasms when I am stressed in lower and upper back. It's quite paralising and terrible trying to sleep. Have booked an emergency appointment with my accupressurist  I think I am going to have to see her every week at least again. She was the one that got me off pain relief and muscle relaxants so she is a star

Hi Nicola, how are U??? love your dream interpretation    Have done all the cobwebs on low level, and where no spiders, the rest I have left for dh 8)

Hi test buddies   how you doin'??? I am going to test Thursday as it's a blood test....can't wait any more I'll just go bonkers   Just hope they do get the results back that day !!! If not I guess I'll do an hpt on Friday while I am waiting. Going to walk the four dogs today, one at a time, need to get some moving in. Glad you can "rest at work"Sher, I am sure it helps you not to get stressed out. I am turning the tiniest thing into a major "thing I have to do", I am such a "do" person, I wish I could just enjoy this time off and be mellow. Am going to try Eastern music today

Still think your dogs look very civilised Eskavon, must be a joy to walk them??? Wish the sun was out though. Don't blame you about wanting to test sooner, 17 days is a very long wait. Do let us know what they say sweetie. nausea sounds good   I feel sicky and have gone off meat altogether, made me feel sick when dh made his steak last night, normally I love steak....

waiting now for Suz and Brs to dial in with the BFPs ...

K - what oil would be safe then for a massage to relieve muscle spasm and help sleep ???

Love and patience to all of us

Hi Big J
Have just replied to you on buddies. I get to test on thursday!!! Very pleased.
Sorry to hear about your back - hope your lady sorts it out for you. I know what you mean about turning the small tasks into big ones. I'm also a doer and don't sit still for 5 mins so its been quite trying for me.
The picture is deceiving of the dogs. Holly, yellow one, is very sedate , shes 11 but Bea, the black one is an absolute monkey. Very energetic and loves her walks.
Glad you're taking yours out for walks - Zita does say to take gentle walks.
Anyway gotta go now - a small task - getting my nails done awaits.
Hope all you ladies are doing well today.
Little P Can you change my test date to thursday. Cheers me dears
