AUGUST BUDDIES

Post by Mia »

Yep, once again our cycle has been moved back. I was planning to cycle last January, so that gives you an idea of how many times we have postponed.

This time it is because I need emergency surgery (unrelated to IVF). My RE called me last night. I am sure his call was to "get things started" for my June cycle. I had to tell him that I was having surgery MAY 31. He now wants me to wait until August ( to recover ).

I actually feel good about this postponement. This allows me even more time to eat healthy and continue with the prenatal vitamins.

So here is my plan. My RE wants to schedule cycle day one for August 1. Since this will be a natural cycle I will ovulate 10 days later on the 10th. That means ET will be August 16th with 3 6-day-old blastocysts. I can test ten days after that on August 26th. So, if it works ( PMA PMA PMA PMA ) my estimated due date will be May 8th, 2006. i know I am counting my embryos before they hatch, but I feel real good about cycling in August.

Do I have any company out there? One very positive ACB looking for other ACBs to share the up and downs of IVF :D

Mia

Although it is annoying when things get postponed I do agree with you that this is a good thing because you can get over your other surgery and get your body prepared.

I wish you loads and loads of good luck with this treatment and send you huge amounts of PMA.

Hiya Mia .... Hope you are okay... Just as you think you've got all the plans / timescales sorted in your head, doesn't just something else comes along just to prove otherwise ..!!

Well, one or two others have mentioned Aug already, so it sounds like it'll be a bumper month (excuse the pun).

Aug Buddies eh ? .. that'll be a blast from the past ! Good luck Mia - you've been so patient.

Sorry to hear you have to postpone but lovely to hear your PMA. Things always work out best in the long term.

Does this mean you can squeeze in a little summer holiday or rest and relaxation time? :?:

Mia - me too, me too! It feels lovely just writing that. I so love being part of a buddy group. No matter if 3 months away.

We've our first (post-drama) clinic apt. on Monday so will have a better idea of their suggested timescales but we're away until mid July so am hoping I'll start my medicated FET protocol soon after with a mid-August ET perhaps? all depends on when a real AF comes along I guess. This current bleeding is on its way out but isn't a real AF so I've no idea what will happen next month.

If everything is how I'd like it (ha!), I'll be an August buddy with you!

hugs

Thanks Nicola

I didn't see this thread - I have to get on and off quick when I am at work

Mia - sorry you had to postpone - I think we have spoken before

Debra - hope you are ok. How did your appointment go? Was that today?

Yes please I would like to be an August buddy. Waiting for AF (aren't we all) hoepfully mid June then when I get AF again hopefully mid July I can phone the hospital and start downreg - I hope early August - this would probably mean ECetc september but who knows (that is why I put august/september as I always seem to end up in the wrong group)

Mean time I have an appointment 16th June to discuss with the consultant what happened this time and how they will approach it next time.

It will be great to get to know each other before the fun begins :!:

Love
Julie :D :D

P.S August angels sounds good :!:

Going for another Beta test

Post by DeniseM »

Friday I go for another Beta test to make sure all of the pregnancy hormones are gone...

If I'm clear I can start to make definite plans for the next IUI.

So keep your fingers crossed for me that this miscarriage finally ends, and that the Beta is clear.

...there's going to be quite a few of us then if we've already got a handful of us together this far in advance.

Denise good luck with your Beta. Will you then have a follow-up?

Jules - yes we are all waiting for AF! I've no idea when mine will come back. I hoped early June but suspect it will be later than that. The consultant said maybe 4-6 weeks after the ectopic. I'll just have to to patient - a first for me! Let's not have August Angels, many people call their m-c/lost children angels, we're not going to lose ours this time.

Mia - how are you? I've just got my first garden but hope not to live here long. We're not going to put any money into doing it up but I like pottering around etc.

Gail - you won't be the only one jumping between threads. Tmt always seems to cover 2 months at least. My last time the meds started in Feb and I had ET in April, I'd have been all over the place!

I had my follow-up yesterday. All clear for even a June FET if we wanted, which we don't. We're back from the UK/Sicily in mid-July when the clinic is closed so fingers crossed AF arrives the week after and I can start then. That would put ET in early August.

Up stupidly early (DF works nights and gets home at midnight, we don't get up earlier than we have to) as my neighbour has repeated yesterdays 0615 noise routine. He flings open his window and puts his radio on full-blast. Our houses back onto each other with only perhaps 15m between them....I'll have to say something although I hate to complain when we're so new to the area.

I hope we all have a lovely Tuesday.

Sorry if I offended anyone. You're right Angels is the wrong word. I wasn't thinking.

Sorry.
