I have just under 300. It's difficult to count them as they keep moving around

Everytime we go anywhere I have to buy a bear and I get one from my parents every Christmas - It's sort of a tradition now :!: :)

Your bear sounds beautiful - they're always special when they've been loved and cuddled :D

I shall keep my PMA up - fingers crossed :D

I hope that you are ok

Big hugs

Love the idea of teddies LP, we collect penguins, we have over 1000 of various kinds including a 2 metre high blow up one and a black-fotted penguin we sponsor at London Zoo..yes we are potty

You all look so lovely, it's great to see your faces and loved ones, including the furries

I do have our wedding photos somewhere - we got married 31st Dec 2003. I had 24 hours leave from the clinic for the wedding...I'll see if I can scan one for tomorrow..

Love and kisses

Julie - 1000+ penguins??? my oh my......I've a fabulous, old, much loved (aka battered), 2 foot high plaster penguin that I got in a junk shop in the 80s. The owner refused to sell him as he was the shop masot and 'was in a Guinness advert once'. I went back another day and the owner's teenage son sold him to me for a fiver!! Ha! He (the bird, not the kid) is at my parents'....they're coming over next week, I'll ask about him coming too.....I'll take his photo if he makes it in one peice.

LittleP/Sandra, I've also got my birth teddy which is in fact a very faded elephant called Ellie. She lives on a high-shelf in DD's room. DD has a gazillion soft toys, she doesn't notice this one is hands-off!

I do have a (small) collection of c.50 tiny glass/porcelain/wooden pigs that I gathered as a teenager. DD can inherit them along with my jewelry! I've bought a small piece of good jewelry in almost every country I travelled in and use them to jog my memory of the warm when I'm freezing to death up here!

I've also an enormous number of Victorian jelly moulds, royal memoriabilia, antique milk jugs + other junk shop/car boot sale 'treasures' that have sat in my parents' loft for 15 years. I think of them as a very long term investment!

If anyone is still awake after all that drivel, sorry.

Debra

It's good to see that we never grow up isn't it

I'm glad I'm not the only hoarder in life.

Hope you are ok

absolutely LittleP. I subscribe to Geordie Jill's motto of 'you're only as old as the man you feel'. Hence I'm really in my late 20s not early 40s - LOL!

I think it's interesting seeing what other people collect. Victorian jelly moulds is definitely original Debra !

I'm sure DF has the largest collection of North American history literature in the county. He's very proud .... Thing is, I have to keep buying more bookcases. Don't know where I'm going to put the next one .. May have to move first !

I collect National Geographic mags .... I'd guess I have c.300 .... so, what ? only another 1200 to go ..?!!

OMG - we're all slightly mad then, at least I'm in good company :D

Debra, I can't apply that motto unfortunately but he acts young so that's the best I can offer. I dream about him turning into John Terry so maybe if I dream hard enough .....

Your dogs are beautiful Joy. The weimaraner looks soooo relaxed.....has s/he had a few too many quiet ales or has s/he been smoking banned substances!

I wish I could get my dogs to lie together like that...they are old and shirty and my collie gets snappy if the boxer touches her while she is sleeping. My boxer however, loves nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa at night with one of the cats! Stange creatures really.

Have you noticed how many of us have pets......hmmmm.

Good call on that... I know why I have dogs.

Sad but I tell the dog to go to Daddy (DH) etc.

Looks like I'm joining the mad hatters too!

O.M.G what a great idea ! I didn't know about this when I asked anybody to guess what I look like!!
Bugger that means I have to admit I look more like the fertility godess than Jennifer Anniston!!!
Will wait for DH to come home and use his I.T skills and get a picture in the album.

Thanks though, I thought it might shatter some of the mystery about the people you write to but it does actually bring it all to life x

Loving it ,loving it !!!
