Painful ET

Post by B »

Hello,
I am about to start a FET Cycle, on my last ICSI try (whcih was my first) the Egg Transfer was very painfull, I am worried that this is going to be the same this time, the clinic don't seem to worried about it but I am because of the pain.
Has this happened to anyone else and is there anything I can to stop tihs happening again. Also, on my ET they couldn't get to one of my ovaries so had to go through my stomach, also painful even though I had sedatives and painkillers!
Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks

Hi there

There was a thread about this earlier - Painful Embryo Transfer - which I will bring up as it might be helpful for you to read it.

I also had a very painful ET and it was my first time as well. I made a post which you can find in the general forum. You might want to check it out... the girls had some information for me. The doctors are not really sure why I was in so much pain. Their thoughts are that my uterus is slightly tilted and they had to use pressure to "line everything up" and that the pressure caused so much pain because of my endometriosis. Do either of these situations fit you? Let me know what you discover. I would certainly like to avoid all of that pain the next go around.
