It's so good to see so many girls getting excited about August !!

Denise - I hope your beta on Friday shows all the hormones have gone. Good luck.

D - When I saw your post, I wondered why you were up so early. Em .. I think I would just have to go round there - new or not. What an inconsiderate git. Glad you've got the all clear for next cycle - but a lovely hol to be had first !! Yipee !! Sizzling Sicily sounds like a good option.

Julie .. Mia .. Gail ... It's great to have the next step planned out. Hope you're all in good spirits.

Denise im crossing my fingers for you that you can get started as soon as possible, good luck with your test on Friday. I hope your coping as well as you can.

Mia I cant believe about all your delays, im sure once you get there it will be worth the wait. I guess a natural cycle means no drugs :?:

Hey guys

Post by DeniseM »

Hello everyone.

I imagine the clinic will follow up with my results, depending on what they are.

We got another kick in the pants this weekend too. We found out that our Rh factors don't match. Which means shots now for any pregnancies or we risk miscarriage. Fun stuff.

Debra, it's excellent that you aren't letting this fertililty stuff dictate your life and that you're still taking holidays.

Mia, Jules, everyone, glad to meet you. This group is invaluable in that you all know what I mean without the lengthy explanations.
Good luck waiting for AF!

Denise, the longer I'm on here the more I come round to the view that all personal test info is useful. Even if, as you say, it feels like a 'kick in the pants'. At least now you know and won't be knocked sideways when the shots need to happen. I hate being blindsided by things and would much rather know WAY in advance, even if that means time to worry. Can I persuade you to my way of seeing it :?:

Amen to the holiday :) DF and I met backpacking so it's hard to think that we'll not get out there again. Things have obviously changed but we've not been on a warm weather holiday since ....oh, 2001 and that was a month's rail trip of 9 Eastern US cities - not exactly a beach fortnight :) We're now desperate to go. Both of us realising how much stress we've been under this year - his lack of perm work, the house move, extended down-regging, tmt, pgy etc etc. It all stacks up. Roll on June 23rd when we fly to the UK :!:

And roll on summer for us all :)

Gail, are you getting excited about the wedding? How much do you still have to do? Weddings can be so busy. Get some beach and sunglasses pics in your wedding dress to add to the site.

Debra, that fact is definitely true. If we didn't know that our blood types didn't mix, we'd miscarry for sure each time we got pregnant. Information is power.

Hi All

Just thought I would post a reply to get us higher up before we get lost to page 2 :!:

How are we all doing :?:

I am not really ok - still struggling with it a bit. I am also depressed about my weight and am now back to counting Weight Watchers points as I lost NO weight at all last week - despite being good (ish :!: ) and going to the gym :!: I can't wait to get started again - patience is not something I have at all.

Well best do some work - take care everyone and to those lucky ones going on holiday - have a great time

LOL

Julie

:( Sorry to hear that you are having "one of those days" - don't rush yourself, give yourself the time to have a good cry or scream about what you have been through - you deserve it. This is not an easy time for you and if you feel like letting it all out - do it. We're here for you whenever you need us.

Big hugs and huge amounts of PMA.

Hi Julie ... I can completely relate to 1) one of those days and 2) weight gain !!! (well, don't know if I've gained weight - as we haven't any scales - but a definite FLAB gain !).

I've just been out back in the sunshine for half an hour, pulling up those weeds. I tell you, it's the most enegetic thing I've done in 3 weeks. I'm knackered ! ... but, I did enjoy the fresh air.

I've promised Debra that I'm going to join her on a healthy eating / weight watching / whatever you want to call it .... regime. The summer's a coming, and it should be the easiest time of the year for motivation ... What do you say ? Do you want to join the club ? Don't know when the first session will kick off  .. but sometime soon Debra ?? Maybe we could start a new thread and report back daily / every few days ??? Could either do it +vely (eg. I've been a good girl 'cos I've done a 20 min walk and had tofu with salad for lunch) or -vely (I've been really naughty today and had 2 choc eclairs - whack, whack). If you both take me up on this, I'll buy some scales.

Julie - I don't know if I'll be an Aug Cycle Buddy ... but could sure use some inspiration to loose a few pounds.

ah yes, healthy eating.......I remember that.....I've decided to wait until June 1. DF and I have our date tomorrow night at a truly fantastic restaurant and given I've just scoffed some chocolates and might have a glass of wine later.....best wait until the start date before taking it too seriously :)

I'll start a thread now as a gesture of good faith - lol!

Hello ACB Ladies,
I can not say that I have all that much to say, but I wanted to chime in and let everyone know that I am here. I try to check in almost everyday but by the time I get home from work and can relax a bit most everyone is fast asleep across the pond.
I think the healthy eating thread is fab. I have been really motivated to lose some weight before August. But I want you girls to know that I am really serious, and I expect you all to stick with it! :D

To everyone (you know who you are!) I am so very glad that we will all be buddies together. August will be here before you know it.

Happy, happy Mia

That sounds like a great idea Sandra - especially as I am being good at the moment :!: But I will need motivation to keep being good - how about a weekly weigh in - don't panic we just put I gained/lost 2llbs this week - no disclosing weights (unless you want to)

I am weighing myself every Tuesday at the moment

Mia - glad you are ok hope we can all cycle together

Lol
Julie

P.S the mood here is great after the football (apart from the blue side :!: )
