OVERWEIGHT

Post by LISA@BELLASALES »

HI GIRLS,
WELL I GOT MY BLOOD TESTS BACK AND I HAVE A SLIGHT RAISE IN MY LIVER ENZYMES DUE TO WEIGHT. IT IS CALLED FATTY LIVER. DOC SAYS IF I LOSE WEIGHT IT WILL GO AWAY. I AM NOW THINKING THAT I SHOULD POSTPONE MY CYCLE UNTIL THIS IS CORRECTED. ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO I WOULD SURE APPRECIATE IT.

DESPERATE IN NY

sorry .. this has got to be pretty hard...

have you been able to talk with a dotcor about losing weight?

i know how hard it is.
i used to be skinny before i got fat..
over the last 5 years i have put on close to 250 lbs..
it is east to get discouraged..
but i try not to eat past 7 at night and i dont take seconds unless it is really good..

i dont use mayo or saled dressing...
and my doc said not to drink my calories.. so i drink lots of water..

just doing this i have lost 6 lbs..
i try and go on the tred mill before i get on the computer..

i joined curves and i do really like it but it is 20 miles away so i dont go much..
but they are great in there.. it is just women and it is pretty simple..
and i did feel better when i was going.
if there is anything that i can do please let me know..
we werent blessed with our babies to raise here but we our blessed with our grandaughter
and all of our many adopted and foster children that touch our lives
and i am glad to add that our 6th grandchild will be born this spring!!!!

How much over weight are you Lisa?

I guess if it's only a few lb's then go for it but other wise I think I would wait.

Good Luck, with it x

At 5'8 I weigh 225lbs and wear an american size 14W. My regular obgyn never had any issues with my weight, although he wanted me to lose some. My reporductive endocrynologist also wanted me to lose, but she did not want me to diet while preparing for IVF or going through IVF. She said I was fine and not to worry about it. The doctor in Greece knew my weight before I travelled here, and saw me on day 1 and was not worried about it. So, I'm not sure if this helps, but all my doctors were very positive.

Good Luck!
Just a few days into our first (and hopefully only) IVF.

Thanks, The doctor said it wont stop the IVF but I have been reading about liver functions during pregnancy and it could get worse. I am doing a 2 week liver cleansing. So we shall see. Thank you for the info.
Good luck to all....
