Anyone around? ? about injections

Well, we got the news today to take our gonadatrophin(?) to release the eggs. Sorry, I'm not really up on my terms.
Anyway, we are not sure how to inject it, or exactly where. I was thinking like the top of my hip. My husband was thinking straight into my tush. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't use the same drug

Is it IM or Subcutaneous?

Most of my injections were thigh or fat pad around belly button(not too close though, tough skin there)

I have always injected in my thigh, nipping the fat part on top at front near my hip. However, I didnt take that drug (just late night injection - is that the same thing? Is it to do EC in a couple of days?) IF so, the thigh is fine. I suppose tush is okay too!!!

Trying in Greece - I hope things went ok and you got yourself sorted in time. I had to do my injection at the top of my thigh - I know a bit late in the day to tell you, but fingers crossed you're alright.

Hi All,
Thanks for the responses. It was an IM injection. I have been doing the subcutaneous for 2 weeks alternating between my belly and my thigh. We did the IM in my tucs and we are just hoping we hit a muscle! We will know tomorrow at 9 am when they fish my little eggies out! I am on self-imposed bed rest for the day!

I'm sure in the top of your thigh was fine Lumi .. don't worry.

It's strange how we're all told different sites ... My downreg was in my arm. The stim and HCG in the stomach.

Lumi - Sandra is right I am sure yours will be ok - I did ALL my injections in my leg (although I was told that I could do it in the stomach if I wanted - but I don't know why, I just couldn't!!)

I was told I could inject into my leg or stomach.

When I thought of doing it in my leg, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I play soccer so my thighs are large, but very muscular.... convinced myself that there would be more pain there.

for me it to do the lupron in my legs hurt worse..
i liked it much better in my tummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the progestrone shots had very long needels and they went on the top of my bottom and they hurt

My nurse actually drew a bullseye on my upper right hip (high cheek) to show us where to do it the day before the HCG shot. It helped a lot as that shot has to be given with 5 minutes of the time they set (at least that's what our doc said) and there's no time for second guessing.
But honestly, I think just hitting any muscle is the key there.
