I wish 39 wasnt too old but when your fertility organs have decided you are then you have to accept it.

I certainly dont feel it and have a young partner to keep me young, just wish i could give him a child of his own as he is so good with my son from my 1st marriage.

Gail,
I know that you will need time to recuperate, mentally and physically for a while. But I just wanted to mention to you that my doc told us up front that we should go into ivf with the mindset of 3 tries for the average couple. He likened it to baseball averages or shooting a ball in a basket - and said that with all factors (them getting to know your body better each try, statistics, etc) considered, that we should not expect a positive the first try. I know it's easier said than done, but I just wanted to share this little "expert" tidbit of advice. Try not to get discouraged and take care of yourself.

Hi again Gail, I just saw your post on the other thread. So, I guess your situation is slightly different, but it still sounds like your issues would have been more inclined to cause difficulty on the egg front. Hopefully, all systems will be a-go for another try. Good luck and I'm thinking of you.

Nicki, I hope you're hanging in there and taking care of yourself. Thinking of you both...

Hi Alison
How's it going 3 days left until test day, are you holding up ok. I've gone back to work because i'm driving myself nut's. I,ve felt abit sick the last couple of mornings but I don't know if thats in my head or nerves or a positive sign. Fingers crossed. lots of PMA and buckets of baby dust for both of us

Congrats on BFP Donna & Clare. At least it gives the rest of June testers some hope.

Nicki sorry your not testing but your right somehow you just know.

Thankyou Elena for your words of wisdom. Looking to maybe run again November if we are given the go ahead. Still testing tomorrow though.
