Hi Zoe, yes I agree. Maya was 2 three weeks ago and I wanted to shout 'stop, stay just like you are'. She's already changing so quickly. I love that she can talk now and makes me LOL every day with the funny things she says but still....where's my tiny baby gone?

Hi Debra,

Good to hear from you. I'm also always saying that. I don't know about Maya, but Sam is so independant and sometimes it breaks my heart! My sister in law has just had a baby and I'm so envious of the constant cuddling in as it's all she can do!!!

Mind you, I love the way also that Sam is now starting to interact more - he says 'I see youuuuuuuuuuuuuu' (like that, but he sounds VERY Scottish and almost Glaswegian   ) Unfortunaely he says nothing else but 'dada' - talk about getting his priorities wrong.

How are things with you?

Right now, this minute? Fine. I've just come downstairs, Maya likes to fall asleep with her lamp on and the door slightly open. This means I get to go in after an hour or so to cover her up, stand and look adoringly at her sleeping, switch off the light and try to sneak out quietly! I love doing this.

The bad things are she's throwing god-awful tantrums now and refuses, point blank to clean her teeth. She's crazy about biscuits, Teletubbies, tricky jigsaw puzzles, dogs and her dad. If we go to collect her together from kindergarten, she goes nuts to see us both but only wants him to pick her up. Every other week I collect her alone and so, like today, I get the huge smiles and to watch her running up to the assistants and yelling 'look, it's my mummy'. It makes me want to cry just sitting here.

I love the idea of Sam saying 'I see youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu', so cute! We have some set phrases we tease Maya with. One is to say 'Maya, body' (as in bodysuit/vest). It doesn't matter where or when we say it, she'll always reply 'nah bodeeeeeeeee' because she never wants to get dressed! If Sam sounds Scottish, I'm thrilled that Maya sounds English! her primary language is Norwegian but she says somethings with a perfect little English accent like 'no, bye bye, morning and mummy'.

Ah thanks for asking Zoe, I feel all warm and lovely now!

Gotta love the board!
hugs
