Assisted Hatching................anyone?

Post by Thistle »

Hi I know its late but I can't sleep.

I am due to have my eggs collected in four hours and even though it is my 4th time I am more worried than ever.

Just wondered if anyone has tried assisted hatching, if anyone knows its sucess rate etc.

I seem to be a good contender with 3 failed atts.

Love to hear from anyone,

Thanks

How did I know that you would be there for me again.

I haven't been offered assisted hatching, do you think I should ask about it tomorrow or wait until the end of this cycle.

Hope your EC goes ok, I am not sure about the procedure of assisted hatching but it is something I would ask the clinic about if you feel really strongly about it - it's not something they all offer though (I know mine don't).

Sending you lots and lots of PMA though, let's hope you don't need any additional help and they stick there all by themselves this time

Hi Thistle ... You'll be at the hospital now, but just to wish you all the best for your EC this morning. I don't know what stage they do the 'hatching'. I'm completely guessing but I would bet on just before ET. If you haven't mentioned it to them today, why don't you give them a ring. It's worth a phone call. If you don't, you'll still be sat there wondering.

Good luck

Hi Thistle

Better late than never .... I had hatching done on my last treatment and it was successful (although early m/c, nothing to do with hatching though) and Sandra is right - it is done just before ET so there is time for you to ask about it.

Good luck and hope EC went well.

Big hugs and PMA
