Hi there

Sandra, Maci, Lumi and Ellie - thank you all for your lovely positive words and thoughts - I'm keeping them safely tucked in, just in case I need to call on those reserves :D

Ellie, they've said that my IVIG will be around EC time so I don't have a definite day yet. Tomorrow I'm picking up my HCG injection so it's ready and available when I need it, and a prescription for the Steroids and Heparin. Only just found out that Heparin is another injection - me  , DH in his element  he loves giving injections :!: :!: (he is very good at it and now has had plenty of practice :D )

Lumi - trying to drink as much as possible and as you said, sipping it throughout the day, rather than glugging it down in one go. Still find I spend my life on the loo though

I hope that you are all feeling great and coping alright.

Sandra - how are things with you?

Maci - how's the pregnancy coming along, any symptoms to tell us about yet?

Ellie - are you enjoying the book and feeling better about things?

Lumi - good luck with the scan - keep an eye out for those black holes?

Thinking of you all.

Love

Little P

Hi all you wonderful girls

It's a beautiful day isn't it 8) 8)

Waiting for my phone call from the hospital, but I have now got all my new drugs - the steroids and heparin - so they are starting today.

Apparently the side effects for the steroids are quite severe

Will update later.

Big hugs to you all

Hi Everyone

Joanne sorry you ahve been poorly hope you feel better now.

Little P
Glad to hear you are still on track. What side effects did they say you would get? If it helps I didn't get any or any that I noticed. When is your next scan?

Hi Ellie

They actually didn't mention any side-effects - oh, God please don't let there be too many :? :!:

The hospital have phoned - I have to reduce the amount of drug tonight, start my Heparin injections (are they painful) and go back tomorrow for another blood test.

Apparently my IVIG will be on Thursday or Friday - did you have yours before EC or after?

How are things with you?

Hi LittleP
Sounds good that they are reducing your drugs, you are in the home stretch now!. Heparin doesn't hurt but it does sting as it goes in just for a few seconds.
I had my IVIG a couple of days before EC.
Good Luck.

Ellie

Thank you so much for always being here with support and advice - I have to admit I am now very scared

I hate injections at the best of times, and now I have to have more :!: :(

Thank you for the warning about Heparin stinging - there's always something isn't there.

I hope that you are alright and that the reading is still keeping you occupied.

Big hugs, PMA and thanks

I can't get my head around the Zita West book at the moment as things are a bit hectic at the moment.

Ellie

You look after yourself and before you know it, you'll be cycling yourself.

I hope that your twins are not causing too many disruptions :D

I'll update again tomorrow with news of when my IVIG is.

Take care and big hugs

Hi Little P

just curious here as you seem to be on a load of injections I've never heard of and just wondered what they were for. What's the heparin for? And I've seen from the abbreviations thread what IVIG stands for but what is it? Is it the trigger injection before EC?

I am down regging on suprefact injections and they sting like crazy - for about 30 - 40 mins afterwards there's this stinging swelling on my thigh which gradually subsides. But I really don't like the idea of sniffing (can't bear the thought of my nose being bunged up) so I'm prepared to put up with that.

I had a bad day yesterday where I realised just how scared I am by all this. After last time, deep down I'm afraid I might die, even though that's not rational. My acupuncturist, who I saw yesterday, has put a tiny mustard seed held on with clear tape at the top of each of my ears. They're on points that help with anxiety apparently, so I can press them if I feel stressed out. I'm feeling much better today - it helps that the sun is shining.

Ellie, I got my Zita book through today but am a bit too overwhelmed to deal with it right now. I must get my head round all these supplements though.

Off to yoga soon, so that has to help

Caroline

Hi there - all the drugs you've asked about: Heparin, Steroids and IVIG are to do with my levels of NK cells which are too high. They are treating the cells and hoping that my body will be able to sustain the pregnancy instead of m/c.

Ellie, thankfully, is very knowledgeable about all of this and the IVIG is done a couple of days before EC, the Heparin and Steroids continue daily from now until .... I don't know when :? :!:

I hope that you enjoy Zita's book - I've managed to get some really good hints from it and it does make interesting reading.

Good luck with everything - I do hope that you are ok.

Big hugs

Sandra

Thanks sweetie - yes, almost there :D Not keen on this injection in the tummy thingy - I wonder is it best done standing up or lying down :? :(

I hope that you are alright and not working too hard. Have you settled on the Care Manchester hospital?

Big hugs
