Em - the tummy injection isn't nice, I know. Mine stung a little. Plus, what I' found really hard was that at each cycle, there was a bit more flab ... I did it (or, rather, df did it) standing up. Can't say it ever struck me to lie down really ?!?

Been dong a lot of thinking but still not done anything ... need to get the gp referral first ... WILL sort in the next week or so, just need to get round to it. I can't say I'm in too much of a rush, as I need time to build up some energy anyway...

You take care ..

Hi all

I agree that Little P's EC has come around very quickly! Like you, Caroline, I am on suprefact. I prefer it to sniffing, partly becuase I do it in the morning and then I can forget it until the next day. Is that the same for you? They do sting! Hope you are okay and not having to squeeze those ears too often today :) I can understand your feeling when you have had a bad experience, and these drugs do nothing for rational thoughts.

I had my first scan - but as a I have PCOS I am not likely to bleed, and so it is taking a while to reduce the thickness (7mm now). It has to be down to 3 or 4 mm before I can start patches (i am on a FET cycle), so for now I carry on injecting. Felt a bit gloomy because I can see this cycle dragging on and on - but then felt silly because everything is going to plan and I am cycling :)

I am not sure how the lining can reduce without bleeding???!!! I should have asked -perhaps it is just 'absorbed'???Hmmmmmm............I may be on buserelin forever and ever...

I think my ET will be at least 3 weeks off. Argghhhh....

I bought Zita West - a bit late I know. I have scanned it (didn't need a full bladder hahhahahah) and realised there is LOADS i could do for next time, but also pleased that many of things I am also doing now. COuldnt believe corriander was mentioned - I cook with it nearly every day! That's it. I will have a BFP because I eat corriander!!!!!!! It is a lot to take in though.

Thanks for the kind words girls. Ellie, you are a mircale to have twins and find time to advise others!!

Take care all. Liitle P - you are a walking pharmacy :D :D  Hope side effects are minimal.

LittleP,

All of my injections (but the HCG) were in the stomach. We found that sitting was the best as it produced more skin to get hold of. And they didn't really hurt at all. I was surprised by this. But I guess your tummy (the area right below your belly button running horizontally for about 5 inches is surprisingly unsensitive (at least mine is).

Of course, everything depends on what drug you're injecting too. Some do seem to sting a little, but you can tell it's not the needle, it's the drug. Don't forget, getting your dose to room temp before injection helps. Right out of the frig for some of them means more pain.

Best of luck! Not long now, Sweetie!

Hello everyone - it's been a while since I posted - have been having some issues but all sorted now. Sounds like everyone's progressing well - good luck Little P with EC - you'll be great. I'm still on for EC 4th july so actually not long to go now.

Nice to be back,

Another day dawns and so we go on .....

I bawled my eyes out last night when I saw the injection for my tummy, then realised that it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would - I felt such a fool

Anyway, I hope that each and every one of you is ok.

Much love

Don't need to feel foolish LP ... we know that anything sets us off .... I've just been listening to the news on the radio whilst getting ready for work .. there was a horrific item on the headlines and I was sobbing away .. (and I can't blame it on the meds !). I'm sure you'll be fine with today's tummy jab ..

Lumi  Damn, I shouldn't have owned up ..!

hi all

another gorgeous day here. Amazing what a difference it makes.

Lumi, I agree about the benefit of having one suprefact injection and then forgetting all about it for the rest of the day, even if you do have to put up with a bee sting every morning. Not to mention the bruised thighs! I think my ET will also be about 3 weeks away so perhaps we'll be on a similar time track. I'm waiting for AF to show up, so I can start stimming next week (my clinic starts people on Weds). I'm generally pretty regular and AF is due tomorrow-ish but because it's so important that it happens and they gave me some tablets (norithesterone) to make sure it did, I have this niggling worry it's going to be late and delay my treatment. Amazing how many small things you can find to worry about with IVF.

After my bleak and fearful Monday, I've felt so much better - I think the acupuncture must have made a real difference. That and admitting just how scared I was. I haven't even had to press the seeds on my ears much - god that sounds weird! My Mum is coming over today and I'm taking her to a really nice restaurant with a beautiful garden, then we're going to the theatre - it's a belated birthday treat for her. I've hardly got any work on at the moment (I'm freelance) so I might as well make the most of it.

Little P, glad you're injection wasn't as bad as you expected. Not long to go now, so just take it easy.

Hello Cheryl, don't think we've "met" before, I'm impressed that you can look at ET in early July and say "not long to go". I'm heading for late June and thinking, god the time's really dragging. You must be much more patient than me!

hope everyone else is doing ok

regards

Hi Everyone,

Nothing much to report from me, just waiting for my appointment on Friday, then for AF to (hopefully) show up next weekend....
Still haven't told work.... DH and I are going to sit down tonight and put a 'plan of attack' together!

I started to feel a bit down yesterday.... Over the time I've been waiting to start treatment I'd managed to convince myself that I just wanted us to do IVF so that we know that we tried everything, but not really thinking that it might actually work.... I think that was partly because I could never see us getting to the stage where we were undergoing treatment, so I didn't really look beyond that. I realised yesterday that I was secretly hoping that it MIGHT work and that is far more scary than anything I feel about the treatment itself. I just can't set myself up for that kind of disappointment. I had to sit last night and remind myself of all the GOOD things in my life (of which there are loads - not least that I'm even here) and that if it DOESN'T work, we'll be OK and will fill our lives with other things.... I sort of have a figure in my head of five tries before I say 'enough' but I know that could change quite easily to more or even less.... Not having done it before we don't know how we're going to feel....

Feeling much better today. Hope everyone else is doing OK. It's another lovely day in Cumbria too. You're right, Caroline as to what a difference it makes. The day you've got planned with your Mum sounds lovely.... A meal and the theatre.... Wish I was coming with you! Have a great time.

Catch up with you all later,

Faith xx

Hi All
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine today.

Lumi
Hope all is well with you today. I went through a lot on the IVF trail in search of my dream and was so lucky to get more than I ever hoped for. I love having my twins and they do take up most of my waking time but once you are on the IVF trail you never leave! I am hoping for one more sucessful tmt which we are waiting to start now.In the mean time if I have one thing to say to one person going through all this that helps a tiny bit it is worth making the time.

Little P
two blood tests!! things are hotting up nicely now!!Glad the heparin wasn't to bad because when you get you BFP you may carry on until 16 weeks!!

Caroline
Hope things are still going well and that you have a great day out today.

Faith
Good luck with you appointment on Friday, do you think you will start w cycle when AF shows up?

Cheryl
Nice to see you back hope all is going well.

Sandra
How are you doing at relaxing? Have you had any thoughts on your next cycle? or is it still to early for you?

Sorry if I have missed anyone.

Ellie

I'm back from my second visit today and now just waiting for the phone call.

  16 weeks!!!  OMG - hey, bring it on - I can take it as long as I get my BFP :D

On the instructions for Heparin it says Do Not Refridgerate, but at the hospital they said put everything in the fridge :? what did you do?

So, you think I'm getting close then - I'm also now very nervous - guess that goes with the territory really!!

How are you feeling today - it's another scorcher 8) 8) 8) isn't it?

Love and hugs

Little P
