thanks caroline for giving me a little something to pull myself together. i know you don't want to give me any false hope but it helps to know that it MAY not be over yet.

I was not able to speak my RE today but i will go and see him at the clinic tomorrow. the bleeding seems to have got a little heavier. i'm praying so hard it's not AF.

pls excuse me if this is too much info... but i've had five bowel movements today, of which two were painful. has this happened to anyone?

Thanks for your good wishes ladies. Unfortunately the test results showed that my levels have gone down, so that's the end of the road for me. NK results won't be back til next week. I'm curious to know what they say, but will be very angry if that was the problem as I had all the tests 2 years ago (tho' I guess things can change over time).

As a group we don't seem to be living up to the high standards set for us by the may-flowers do we! Very much hoping that that changes for all of you still on the 2ww, and love to those who are in a low place just now after bad news.

Alison .. So sorry it's bad news today. You sound strong, though it sure doesn't get any easier does it ... Make sure you rest and recoup and take a little time out before moving on .. Take care of both of you.

Alison

I'm so sorry that it hasn't worked out - sending you huge amounts of PMA and massive hugs.

Take care of yourself and take time for you and DH.

Well, I agree that we are not having much luck in June. I am sorry to see so much bad luck and disappointment.

Good job Clare and Alisondrake, enjoy every second of it!

Quasi, Hang in there, there is still hope that things will work out.

Alison, my heart goes out to you. I hope you and dh can take it easy, try to clear your heads and hearts for a while, and then go from there. I know we are going to enjoy a bit of our summer (meds-free) and then hopefully pick back up again in August or September. I am thinking of you and hope your doc can sort it all out for next time...

I'm sorry to hear your bad news Alison... life can just be so unfair sometimes. i know words may not help ease your sorrow but we do understand your pain and dissapointment.

My bleeding has got heavier and is now bright red. Am very certain it's AF. I'm going to the clinic now. I'm trying to prepare myself to be strong while i'm there. It's been especially hard bcoz dh is away on business this whole week and no one else knows we've done ivf.

anyway, off i go.

Quasi .. Even though you were sorta prepared, I'm sure you're still devastated .. I'm so sorry Quasi ... It will hurt so much, but the only consolation I have is that it will get easier with time. Make sure you both take care of each other.

Thanks Sandra.. you're a sweetie. i must say being on this board really helps. I come check here even before i check my email.

I am devastated but I'm also feeling a little better. my dh has called me 3x from belfast just today .. and he's made me feel better too.

I have a question.. what is the normal waiting period before we can try again? I have no FE so i have to start afresh. But i've got that to look forward to now... hope it's not too long a wait. :)

Hi Quasi

sorry it ended in bad news, but you sound like you're pulling through this really well and your DH sounds very supportive. Must be miserable to have him so far away though. Bet you could do with a hug.

I don't know how long is normally recommended before trying again but I get the feeling that people are often tempted to rush back too quickly. Your body has just been through a lot and it must take a while to recover. Plus emotionally, I'm sure it's better to have a bit of space to grieve before embarking on it all again. It may seem like having another go quickly would give you some hope and blot out the grief but it would mean you'd be living on an emotional edge for an extended period, which can't be healthy. Sorry if I sound like I'm preaching and feel free to completely ignore me! I'm sure the venerable Zita must have something to say on the subject.

take care

Caroline
