Hi girls,

Great to see a smiley face on the testers. has anyone had the following happen???? I think I have read something similar somewhere on the message board.

As you know Donna tested low positive last week and negative on Monday, The clinic told her she would have AF by today (Friday). - she had to ring them to let them know one way or the other.. She hasn't got it yet, so they told her to have another blood test tomorrow morning.

Question is can this happen and if she is still pregnant - would it hang on and be a viable pregnancy.????? Personally, I don't think so. Perhaps someone has had a similar situation.

Have a good weekend.

Hi Barbara - as you may know, I was in a similar situation - tested low positive Monday, and even lower Tuesday, so was told it was definitely BFN. I was supposed to go back to a blood test today to check everything had disappeared, but must admit I haven't as I currently have AF from hell so can tell pretty clearly that I'm no longer PG!

My understanding is that you're right that there is no way that it could be a viable pregnancy, but as Donna's period hasn't turned up they will want to check what is going on, particularly if there's a possibility of an ectopic. The only theoretical exception whereby she could go on to have a viable pregnancy is if she were originally expecting twins, and one hadn't made it, but in that case I think you'd expect a much higher original reading.

Apologies for writing at length - until my period turned up yesterday I was mulling over exactly those questions! My love to you and your daughter - its a really disappointing time, but low positives generally bode well for future cycles.

Huge congratulations Josie x At last some good news

Donna, I am so sorry that you are going through so much confusion. I haven't experienced this but I do know that my friend was pg with twins through ivf and she had a really strong + but she lost 1 of the twins, I agree that it doesn't sound hopeful, but I hope we are all wrong. It is awaful having to wait and keep wondering.

After my 2nd ivf, i got a -tive but it took a good week or so for af to arrive.

Rooting for all you other girls xx

Hello everyone,

Have put this on the Aussie/Kiwi site also.

update on Donna

Her bloodtest this morning tested positive - so clinic said take it easy and have another one next Friday, but if in severe pain at any time go straight to hospital. Donna is currently reading up on ectopic pgs., just in case.

The wait goes on.....

hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

Barbara

I shall tentatively say please pass on my Congrats to Donna. I will keep everything crossed for her and hope that her levels go up and up and this is the only scare she experiences.

What a start hey :?

Love and hugs
