TOO BLAST OR NOT TO BLAST????
IS THER ANYONE WHO HAD THE SAME DILEMMA,ACCORDING TO MY DOC I SEEM TO HAVE GOOD LOOKING EGGS BUT HE IS NOT IN FAVOUR OF BLAST BUT ACCORDING TO MY RESEARCH IT SEEMS THE RIGHT THING TO DO,CAN I GET SOME ADVICE.

saw your post and felt for you. They didn't give me the option to blast until the day before et but I decided to go for it as it happens the two embis they would have chosen to go back on day 3 stopped developing on day4 so who knows?
I hope i have made the right decision but time will tell!!
In the end I took the advise of the embriologist but it is a tough decision
but do what you think is right for you. whatever you decide good luck to youx

I went to blast with this my finally sucessful IVF. Our situation was that we always had seemingly good looking/ excellent grade embies but they didnt implant. We decided to give blasto a try as it would hopefully sort out the best ones! It was very nerve wrecking however as you are never sure if any will make it that far and worse case scenario you could end up with nothing to put back. We had an exceptional result as out of 13 eggs 10 fertilised and incredibly 8 made it to blast. Out of those the 2 best ones are currently kicking me! We have 6 frozen blasts now also. I would be guided by your clinic. If this is your first treatment I would go with the flow, but as you can see from my profile we had had many attempts. You have to have at least 5 good embies to go to blast, and if there are clear leaders on day 3 the chances are they will want to do transfer at that stage.
I wish you luck whatever you decide, I will never know whether it was going to blast that worked for us as I was also having accupuncture and following the Zita West book for diet and vits.
