Hi MisVic ... Welcome to the Site.

It's only natural to be scared of the unknown - don't worry, we've all been there. The good news is that you've found an enormous support network on this Site. If you post your concerns about anything you're unsure of, it's likely that someone can give advice, or at least an opinion. No question is silly, if you don't know the answer ... so don't be afraid of posting.

If you want to start a new thread, in the Introductions Forum, and post your background/history, it'll give folk a chance to meet you.

On this current forum (where we are now), girls who are cycling at the same time group together in months. So, you're a June / July cycle buddy. If you post on that thread with your updates, you'll be with others around the same stage of treatment as you.

Then, when you've been through your cycle and you have a test date, Little P will add your name to the Test List (gosh - it'll be the July Test Date thread by then ..).

Whilst you're waiting to test, you can then join the July 2ww (2 week wait, between end of treatment and test date) thread, where everyone is in the same situation, and slowly going crazy together ..!

If you have a look at the first thread in this forum, it's dedicated to all the abbreviations we use (there are many !).

Finally, we'd recommend you buying "Fertility and Conception" by Zita West. It's packed full of useful info and tips, and will help you understand what is happening with your body.

Good luck with your cycle .... I'm sure that once you get going, you'll find it's not quite as bad as you thought .... There are many of us that have been through more than one cycle and we've lived to tell the tale !!

MisVic, welcome aboard! Like Sandra says, it is natural to feel a bit nervous and scared but you have come to the right place. There are may wise women here who will help you through this experience. Good luck with your treatment.

Ladies, I too have read about green tea being bad for pregnant women. I have also read some stuff about decaf being full of chemicals but continued to drink it....I won't anymore after reading your post Sandra. :D I too will have to hunt down the swiss decaf as I can't live without my coffee. Is there anything we can have that doesn't come with a heap of guilt?

Happy Sunday gals.

Hi All, I am back...in DH's office on Sunday afternoon catching up on all the progress. I have been really bad this week....a little jogging but not enough, lots of eating and drinking wine (I had to entertain the in-laws...which drives me to drink).

How is everyone else doing with preparing for their cycles?

Heather did you get a resolution from your clinic? I too would be very upset and you have a right to have a discussion with the clinic about your options...nbot your fault they scheduled to many ICSIs in one day...let them work a little overtime :D

I am back on-lin Wed full-time :D :D :D

Until then lots of baby dust and PMA!!!!!!

Hi Miss Vic
Sandra has really said all you need to know. In fact Sandra I think you should post your message in intro forum and it should be a 'sticky' as it would be very useful to any newcomer.
Good luck Miss Vic, we're here if you need us.

Hi Ladies
Sorry I've not been round much the last week - but of a bad one - will explain later.
Little P - I can't believe how much you've progressed on your treatment - go girl !
Hope you're all doing well, Heather I hope you sorted your clinic out - shame they delayed you a little but its for the best - at least you'll get their undivided attention :D
Pants week for me - job - poo. feeling really low this week and I can't seem to drag myself out of it - had 3 instances of insensitive people saying the wrong things. Do you ever feel that god is throwing tons of rubbish at you just to see if you can handle it?
Anyway reading all your notes this week has cheered me a bit - here's to tons of Juju babies and pletny more after that
Take care all

Hi Eskavon ... Sorry you've had a real crappy week. If it's any consolation, I have too.

The world's full of insensitive people .... we should know that, and not let it get to us, but it's just not that easy eh ..?

The good news about having a crappy week is that the next one can surely only improve !

It's a brand new week starting today, so let's hope it's a better one, for everybody ...

Hello Ladies!

I'm on my second day of bravelle (4amps am-4amps pm) I started bleeding today and am not sure if this is normal...I was on bcp for about 4weeks. I'll be adding repronex and cetrotide in about a week as I am doing an antagonist protocol due to high fsh and not producing many eggs. I'm 34(35 in 13 days!) dh is 33(34 in 9 days!) We've had several failed iui's and on failed ivf, only one embryo transferred 2nd day!

anyone have a target retrieval date around 21st of June??

PMA to all

Hi Daisy – yes am back from Paris. Was a flying visit but had a nice time and ate some good meals!

I read that decaffeinated was not good for you because of the chemicals. DH is still talking his flask of expresso to work (that I get up at 530am to prepare!) but he limits himself by not drinking it all, just enough to give him one cup of decent latte (he refuses to drink ‘English’ coffee so has a very sweet habit of taking his flask to work like a little schoolboy!). I figure he’s cutting down so that’s better than nothing. I wouldn’t ask him to cut it out totally as he would become too ratty!

Only back in the UK until Weds then off to Italy. DH's older brother gets married on Thurs so we need to present a bella figure to the waiting world! Can't wait until it's over but at least means we should get a day by the sea!

Hello Ladies

Well back to work this afternoon. I am not looking forward to it after most of last week off with flu. Still I am on the 2 week countdown for finishing yippee but I still have all my reports to write - not so yippee. Once I have finished I intend to start acupunture. Any of you ladies currently having it done?

Nicola, glad you enjoyed Paris. You and your dh are such jet setters - off again for a wedding.

I went to a wedding on Saturday night (here the weddings are in the evening during summer). They can be such a drag at times (I´m such a ba humbug!!!!) DH didn´t drink a drop all night I was so impressed, I on the other hand made up for him and drank more than my and probably his fair share of units (Guilt factor was worse than hangover so maybe I am exaggerating a little). Still it was the only way to get through it. We didn´t finish eating til 1.30am. Thankfully we managed to slip away just before 3am which is pretty good going for a spanish wedding. I would imagine Italian ones are similar.

Thanks sandra for the advice on decaff I am not going to convert dh to it but maybe I shall send him off to work with a flask of pg tips instead, (I thought that was so sweet Nicola. )

Hope everyone is well.
