I too would love to know if I am actually getting even a little bit pregnant.

I know that the embryo hatches on day 4-6 then has to implant itself. I would love to know if my body was letting this happen, and then not letting it carry on.

I am on day 12 at the moment (with ET being day 1). I am due to do my test on saturday but I have never got that far. AF always turns up early.

I spent the first week of the 2ww in hospital due to an infection from the EC. I asked the question then if they could tell me if I was a little bit pregnant but they said it was not possible. But I am nearly positive that with all the technology available in 2005 they must be able to.

Heres hoping you find somewhere that will give you answers you want.

Hi

Im presuming the CVS Hinak is refering to is Chorionic Villus Sampling.
It describes it in my pregnancy book as a diagnostic test done between the 10th and 16th week of pregnancy. At present it is useful only to detect disorders such as Tay-sachs, sickle-cell anaemia, most types of cystic fibrosis and Downs syndrome. A sample of the chorionic villi (fingerlike projections of the chorion-the fetal membrane that will eventually form the placenta) is taken either transcervical or via a needle through the abdomen.Though most studies so far conclude it is safe and reliable, the procedure is slightly riskier than amniocentesis.

Sorry Hinak, I cant answer your question on which clinics in the UK do it.
Good luck with your treatment

hi, i answered this as well on the pregnant after treatment forum, but this test is done at the Fetal medicine centre in harley St. london. it can be performed byProfessor Kypros Nicolaides who is there once a week and is the man who invented the nuchal Scan. in his hands, the risk of miscarriage is about 1 in 300 rather than 1 in 200 as he is so experienced. i am having my nuchal scan at the centre so will see what the place is like.

best wishes to all
