EC tomorrow and feeling down

Post by mands »

Should be excited.. was this morning but this afternoon I feel really depressed, is it the profasi I took last night? Feel tired and a bit premenstral, is this normal? I have a funeral of a friend on Wed and I'm desperately hoping I feel normal for it, too many things to worry about!!

Anyone joining me this week?

Take care

Mandsx

EC tomorrow and feeling down

Mands totally understand how you feel....on one hand you feel you should be elated to have finally got to ec but on the other it does involve a small op (which is never a pleasant thought). I must say I had my first ec on the 19th Nov and it really wasn't that bad...couldn't remember a thing and was just a little more dopey than normal for the rest of the day.
I'm sorry that you have a friendsfuneral - how sad and how that must be adding to your grief.
Good luck for tomorrow.
Love, Michelle x
p.s. I didn't take profasi so not sure on that front - but I'm sure one of the other girls will get back to you on that one.

Hello Mands

Sorry you're feeling down. I had my egg collection in May and the op etc was ok - just felt a bit bruised (like I'd been kicked up the bottom) for a few days but generally I felt good - had et 3 days later and was really looking forward to that, so maybe once you've had it gone, the excitement will kick in.

Sorry to hear about your friend. How sad. Hope you're coping with it all ok.

Sarah x

dear Mands,

As everyone else has said, it's normal to feel low. The whole process of IVF is emotionally draining and each stage seems to bring a new set of anxieties. Just chill out (easy to say) and look after yourself once your embryos have been put back. It does get easier - promise.

Alison P

Hi Guys

Thanks a lot for your support, I have been suffering from two hour depressive slots throughout which feel more like a chemical down. Am now feeling relaxed about tomorrow and am cooking up a storming dinner to compensate for short fast tomorrow! Now feeling excited again!

Love to you all

Mands
