Hi everyone. FET went well, however we lost two embies in the thawing process. We now only have one left. DH & I were upset by this news, but there is nothing we can do about it. I feel much better after this transfer than the last. I had terrible cramping last time, now I feel fine & normal. My progesterone levels were good, so I don't have to have the pessaries (thank goodness!!!!!!). Well I am now on the old 2ww again. I am going back to work on Monday. I am not going to spend the week lying around this time like I did last time. I will take it easy though. I asked if I was aloud to drink coffee (was dying for one after the procedure) & they told me anything in moderation was fine, & one or two coffee's per day would be safe. I might just have one every couple of days when I go out.

I hope everyone else if well.
Take care

Miss Molly,

YAYAYAY!!, glad it went well and that your embies are floating around in that thick London fog getting ready to bed down for nine months (this is what I said to Josie after her embie transfer and she got a BFP so now feel compelled to say it each and every time..is this a tad ridiculous??). Sorry to hear about the defrosting diffiuclty, but hey you might not even be needing it with your twins from this cycle creating an instant family?? (I am a very optimistic person by nature). Glad that you have a few days to take it easy, spoil yourself I say, watch some rubbishy tv and go out for coffee..Is really hard going out for coffee once bubby comes along (even harder with twins I'd imagine!!)..

All the best for the dreaded 2ww, I have everything crossed for you.

Hello girls,

Thank you for keeping things crossed for Donna with her ups and downs. Well tonight her doctor rang her to say that he was sure it was an ectopic pg, but to go for the blood test on Friday and see him on Monday.

I guess if it is an ectopic he will discuss what happens next. They will then wait 3or 4 months for the next ivf cycle (time to save the dollars also).

Good luck for those still testing in June - let's see lots of smiley faces.

Barbara and Donna, I'm really sorry to hear that it may be an ectopic pregnancy that you're dealing with. I hope you're able to get it resolved and treated asap. I'll be thinking of you.

Miss Molly, congrats on the FET. Enjoy your occasional coffees and pampering yourself a bit on your 2ww - you deserve it.

Well, I noticed a bit of pink spotting this morning so am preparing myself for AF's arrival. I guess we'll wait and see what happens over the next 24 hours. DH thinks it's too early to give up hope yet - at least one of us is an optimist!

I have to finish off an assignment for my design course today so at least that'll keep me busy.

Have a good day everyone.

Cheers, Deanne

Hi everyone

Deanne - hang in there, only a couple of days to go and you will know one way or the other - spotting doesn't necessarily mean a problem, there are lots of positive stories on this board and the pregnant after treatment threads, so stay positive.

MissMolly - great to hear that the FET went well, sorry about the embies that didn't make it, now you need to concentrate on the ones that did.

Barabara and Donna - I am thinking of you both and hope you have some certainty soon.

Hi all,
Just dropping in to say hello, also avoiding the dreaded state of origin thang on television..so not my scene..

Deanne, agree with what Jo has said re. spotting not necessarily being a bad sign. My sister is now 14 weeks pregnant and had spotting in the very early days. Her doctor explained it as implantation bleeding (the embie burrowing into the endometrium) and that it was in fact an optimistic, not a negative sign..

Barbara, sorry to hear Donna's news..how can the doctor know that its an ectopic pregnancy without doing a scan??..I always think that where there's life there's hope, so maybe it's not over yet..Wishing you both all the best for the weeks ahead, must be very hard..

All is well with our little family. Annie had a day of child care today, very traumatic for me (despite visiting her twice during the day for breastfeeds!!!), she however appeared to have a marvellous time!!..

Take care all

Deanne, just wanted to wish you the best of luck for tomorrow. I hope the spotting turned out to be nothing and that everything is looking good for a BFP tomorrow. I will be thinking about you all day (no Internet access at work can you believe it!!! And I work for the government!!! We are a bit behind here in country Qld.) Good luck.

MissMolly, glad everything went well with your FET. Is the 2ww any easier the second time around? Hope you are managing to keep busy while being waited on hand and foot by DH!

Barbara, I am with Belinda (she is very wise) I don't know how the Doc can diagnose an ectopic pregnancy without performing a scan. Please send my best wishes to Donna. I hope she proves the doctor wrong (yet again) and comes up trumps with a normal, run of the mill pregnancy.

Belinda, I understand your difficulty in leaving Annie, even for short periods of time. I should imagine you had a day full of worry and anxiety. I am sure it will get better over time....or maybe you just learn to cope with it better.

Josie, hope everything is going well for you and the baby is making him or herself comfortable. When do you have your scan? I don't know, but I am sure that seeing something, however small, and seeing a heartbeat provides a certain amount of reassurance that everything will be ok. Keep well.

No news from me.....we had a public holiday today..on a Thursday? (I told you they do things a bit strange here) and I spent the day finishing my already late assignment. Yay!

Happy Friday everyone....it is nearly the weekend!

Cheers

Hi all,
Deanne, wanted to wish you all the very best for today, I have everything crossed for you and a Big very fat positive!!

MissMolly, are you surviving the 2ww OK?, I was TERRIBLE during these times, completely over analysing every twinge and sign that was probably completely unrelated to the whole IVF lark...hopefully you are less highly strung than me!?!?!

Barbara, is it today (or Monday) that Donna sees the doctor?? I am keen to hear how it all goes..

Heather, was it Rocky show day on Thursday??, did that mean that you had the Queens Birthday and then another public holiday in the one week??, sounds like a great week to me!!..What are you studying by the way??

Take care all and have fabulous weekends. Annie sends another big sloppy kiss (though she is teething at present so the kiss is a tad tight lipped!!)

Hello all - I had a BFP!!!!!! It looks like God has answered our prayers and I'm so very thankful to have made it to this point. This thread must be a really strong good luck charm too!! Thanks all so much for your support - it's been such a sanity saver.

AF didn't make an appearance (not sure what that spotting was 2 days ago), so I was quite a nervous wreck going for the test this morning. Still can't quite believe the outcome - burst into tears on the poor nurse who rang to give me the news!!! Now to get through the next few weeks - our scan's been booked for 8/7. So lots more prayers and finger crossing til then.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to lots more good news for the Aussie girls!

Cheers

HURAYYYYYYY Deanne - what a FANTASTIC result - I am so thrilled for you both, you must have been a nervous wreck after the last couple of days - I have been thinking of you all day - this is wonderful news -congratulations!!!!!!!!

Well, we told the kids this week, three happy, one not impressed at all (14 year old stepson - so perhaps not such a surprise...) - the hardest thing was to tell my parents, they live in Tassie and even though I am 36, there is still a high expectation around work achievements etc, so I was concerned that they would take a while to warm to the idea - once they realised that this was something that I wanted to do, not something I had been forced into (as if...), they were fine - I think in a way the fact that we had to use IVF made it pretty clear that this wasn't an accident and had actually been quite a while in the planning.

Barbara / Donna - all the best for the next doctors visit, you are in my thoughts.

Heather - all these holidays - how does anyone get anything done? Hope you had a wonderful relaxing break! We are coming up to the Gold Coast in September, for the kids to do the theme parks (don't suppose there will be much for me to ride on...), then we are taking two weeks to drive down to Sydney, spending time in Coffs and Port Maquarie, something we are all looking forward to.

MissMolly - how is the 2WW going? I had to go in for a second blood test today, all was well, HCG is 2000, whatever that means - and we are back for a scan on the 29th, when we will be 6w6days, so hopefully we will see something exciting!

We are going camping tomorrow, just for the night - sort of up your way Barbara and Donna, at a national trust farm near Skipton - some parents in my son's class have organised it, should be fun it it doesn't get to cold - the boys went a few weeks ago with scouts and woke up with ice on the tent - good thing we breed them tough in Tasmania!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend, and congratulations again Deanne!!

love
Jo

Hi all,

First of all a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Deanne, that's fabulous news, you must be thrilled. I found the next 2ww until the scan even harder than the first, I was just sooo keen to see our little baby and that precious heartbeat..hopefully the time flies for you. Please keep in touch and let us know how it all goes on the 8th (and how many babies are in there!!)

Jo, glad you told the kids and your parents. Know what you mean about parents with high expectations, mine are exactly the same. Glad that the news was well received though.

Barbara, you and Donna are in my thoughts, please let us know how she is going.

Take care all, enjoy your fabulous weekends
