Vaginal Progestrone QUESTION

Post by princess »

Ladies,
When using the vaginal medicine did any one of you get like a clumpy kind of discharge??? I know this is kind of a yucky question but it will help me to stop freaking out.

Joy, just to let you know I have bumped back up a thread that discussed this a little while ago.

It is called "The Preferred Route" - hope it helps.

Take care

I'm still using the pessaries and I get the discharge too, so I dont think its anything to worry about. My clinic said the progesterone dissolves into your system in the 20 min lying down time and the discharge is just the stuff that was holding it together.

Joy:
That is completely normal. I didn't take vaginal progestrone with my IVF, I took the injectable progestrone. Be glad you get to take the vaginal one because the shots were very painful. I did take vaginal progestrone with a few of my IUI's and my clinic forewarned me that what you explained would happen and it did. It is very yukie but very normal.

Good luck!

Hi Joy

just confirming what the other girls said. Most important is the 20 mins lying down time. Bit of a bugger as I do 2 pessaries 3X per day, so one lot at 8am one at 4pm and one at bedtime. Have a bit of a prob lying down at 4pm always. Discharge - yes. That's waht freaked me out when I bled as I thought the lumps were baby but they were just pessary bits with blood on. Are you using Oestrogen patches too???
