2ww symptoms anyone?

Post by Megan17 »

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie. Had my transfer on Tues. Two 10 cells, and an eight. I'm 30, and in good health with regular cycles. My 2ww ends on June 26th. I keep hearing that my nipples should be changing colors. Should I be having symptoms onle 4-5 days after transfer? Should I have symptoms before my test? I haven't seen any spotting. Is this bad? Sorry to ramble, but the 2ww blows.....

Hi Megan. I also had my FET on tuesday, so we are cycle buddies. If you like, you ask to add your name to the June test date thread, which is for those of us testing in June & going through the 2ww. I don't think it is common to have the symptoms you mentioned so early after a transfer. It your treatment was successful, I don't think you get full-on pregnancy symptoms until after your test date. Some women get some spotting (implantation bleeding), while plenty have none. Some feel as if AF will arrive any second, but still get a positive result. I know the 2ww sucks! This site is very helpful & supportive.

Take care

Hello, I had my 1st 2ww last month and read into every little niggle and pain and was convinced that I was pregnant. I wasn't. so when AF came along 4 days before test date I came back down to earth with a bang!!

My advice is dont think about it, just go with the flow. It'll do your head in like mine. Try to keep your mind active.

Good Luck dear....When are you testing?

Hi Megan ... The bottom line is, some have symptoms - some don't. Either way can prove +ve. There's just no way of telling until the dreaded test I'm afraid !

As Miss Molly said, if you want your name to be added to the June Test Dates thread, pls just say so.

In the meantime, why don't you join the June 2ww thread. You'll be in good company !

Good luck

Thanks everyone. I just wish I felt something other then what the progesterone causes. I'm supposed to test on Sunday the 26th, but I am going to wait until the 27th so I can do the test locally when my Dr's office is open. I feel like if the IVF has worked I would be able to sense it, and I don't sense anything. Is that insane? Please add me to the June test thread.

Hi Megan .. Wow, you've some restraint haven't you .. putting yourself through an extra day to test locally ?!?!?! I'll add you to the test list.

Don't worry about not feeling anything Megan. Many don't. Keep up the PMA just a little bit longer ... you're half way there !

Hi Megan - I'll back up what everyone's saying - don't look for symptoms because you'll drive yourself mad. I had two quite different transfers and lots of different symptoms both times and was negative - other cycle buddies had similar symptoms and yet were positive so although it's hard, try not to find a reason for everything you're feeling because there doesn't seem to be any sense or pattern to the way that symptoms appear. Sorry can't be more helpful but just keep positive and good luck - I always say that what ever happens - each day you're nearer the time when it will happen,
