embarassing, but I have to know....

Post by Megan17 »

Please don't laugh, but did anyone else get scared when they had to go to the bathroom during 2ww? The progesteone has caused some constipation, so it's more work then usual (tmi, I know). I'm afraid I am going to force the embies out? Did anyone else feel this?
Also, someone said they heard no chocolate or ice cream during 2ww. I have been eating chocolate covered ice cream bars at the rate of about 2 a day since transfer. Could this really have an impact?

Don't worry about the toilet thing - it's quite common and you certainly couldn't squeeze them out if that's what you're worried about! (Possibly TMI) I don't know about the chocolate or ice-cream - I've not heard that but I would be extremely shocked if that would make any difference whatsoever - I'm sure you're absolutely fine doing what makes you feel happy - the best thing for your embies is you relaxed and happy so I would feel a few choc ices are going to help rather than hinder. Good luck with everything, Cherylx

i worried 24 7 about going to the bathroom or bending over or walking to much or eating this or that..

plums and apple juice will help with going to the bathroom..

Hi Megan ... First of all - Nobody will laugh. We've heard it all, many times before ! There's NO WAY you're going squeeze baby embies out, so stop worrying. The No Eating chocolate is just because it contains caffieine. I'm sure chocolate ice cream can't contain very much ! Re the ice cream ... I haven't heard that you can't eat this. I can only presume it's unpasteurised ice cream that you can't eat. I'm sure you'll be okay. Don't worry !

Try taking Colace. I asked my doctor about the constipation before starting the second ICSI and she said it is safe. She took it when she was pregnant. I've been using it for this ICSI and it works great.
