Anyone do progesterone shots?

If any of you did progesterone shots in the 2 ww, did AF show up on her own or did she show up AFTER you stopped the progesterone shots?

Hi, as I understand it, the shots can delay AF but if it's going to happen, it will happen no matter what, albeit slightly late. During one 2ww I started bleeding on Day 9 and I was still on progesterone pessaries.

Thanks for responding Debra! What's the difference between the pressaries and the shots that I'm taking? Are either of them more likely to not cause AF to come on?

No I don't think so, as with all the meds, different clinics have different med regimes so some people inject to down-reg, others inhale....in the same way, the post-ET progesterone is probably a similar dose but just a different way of administering.

If it's any help at all, each month some people (on this board) who get a -ve have bled before test date, others not. Ultimately, all -ves will get their AF but not necessarily at the same time.

I have used thr shots twice now and was told that I would not get AF while using them. Sure enough I didn't . I have had one good positive and one very low positive result. I was previously using the pessaries and had 2 low positives with AF turning up 2 days before testing.

Where are you in your cycle? I assume in the 2ww? I hope you are not going to mad and hope for a BFP soon!!!!
