Julie ... 1lb is nothing .. It could be difference between before and after the loo ! Does AF make you hungry ?! I never tied it down to that before. I'll have to take more notice. Something to blame it on anyway ! Yes, I'm trying my best to stick to lots of snacks. Have been bad today though - Minstrels ! Yum Yum ( .. and not just a small bag .. eek) ..

Just trying to give myself a bit of PMA. Have been oh SO healthy for 3 days and really feeling the benefit. ( I know it's not long, but I am usually terrible). Nice food tonight planned and tomorrow. Tonight is pasta in tomato sauce (small portion, of course) and griddled vegetables. I had salad for lunch and have not snacked a thing. Really proud of myself. Tomorrow is a really long day and because I'm up ridiculously early, I'm usually starving by 10am. I'm going to try really hard not to call into the cake shop on the way home. However a friend is coming over tomorrow evening- she's a heavy drinker and her sister had a baby on Sunday, so she's bringing the photos. I just know the cheese will be hauled out at about 11pm and I'll be sorely tempted to tuck into the wine. Give me strength!
Oh yeah, forgot to say I bought a skipping rope today. Only managed 45 little skips before I thought I was ready to be carted off to A&E but at least it's a start.
Lynne, 45 little skips is 100% more than I did today so be proud. Also, any exercise is better than none so don't knock your starting efforts
Maybe, if the cake shop is too tempting to ignore, buy a wholemeal breadroll? I know it's hardly a lovely doughnut but at least you'll fill up and not want to snack again later. Alternatively, take something with you that you eat as you pass the cakeshop - a banana or something else sweet + filling?
re. your friend's visit, if it's your house, can't you tuck into the philly light on ryvita instead of lumps of Double Gloucester? I can't say I'm good at replacement like this but feel it's got to better than denying yourself everything and then eating double the next day
good luck
Debra.

Debra,
That is SUCH a good idea (about the philly and ryvita) and, do you know, it never even occurred to me. That just goes to show how daft I am. I shall also take your advice on board about the roll. I am finished at 10am and have to rush back to another job and I really do feel I am denying myself too much if I can't have a little treat. The refreshments where I shall be are just awful. The old adage about BBC tea is absolutely true!
Did another 20 little skips before tea. Maybe this time next week I'll be up to 20 big ones.
Lynne
Day 3 of my diet, I had 1450 calores y'day and 1430 the day before. Only had 250 so far today.

Nicki,
Good luck with the diet. I am useless at calorie counting, sounds like you are doing okay though.
I went to an awful supper party yesterday where the host served sausage, mash and beans and an awful, tasteless mushroom pate. I felt so deprived I came home and stuffed myself with crackers, taramasalata and cream cheese and I'm feeling much the worse for it today.
I think he was trying to be nuvo chich (can't work out how you spell chic- ah, got it now!). It came across to me more like nuvo chippy.
Lynne
Oh dear Lynne. That sounds awful. Never mind dear. Just dont go there again!!!

Just thought I'd give you a laugh.
I've just been to sing at a wedding and the Vicar said 'sex' 12 times and 'sexual activity' another 11 times. when he started his talk with 'some people think marriage is all about sexual activity' we knew we were in for a good one.
Obviously things aren't as they should be at home!

Hi Sandra - I am going to start Zita's liver detoxifying diet on Wed....also no more wine...next planned sip of wine will be a tiny, tiny sip of champagne after my BFP (we have been saving a bottle for years now). AF arrived - but for the first time in years not with a vengeance! I still had cramps but nothing near what I usually have . Setpember is right around the corner and I have August to enjoy. I am still on schedule to start sniffing 4 September. So with some PMA..only 2 more AFs for quite a while
How are you doing? Want to do the detoxing with me? (I am actually pretty scared I don't have the self-discpline and there is no way DH will do it)
Need some inspiration myself Sandra - I have been really good and had lost 8lbs in 6 weeks - one back on last week so 7 in 7 weeks which I know is good steady lose - went to a BBQ with friends yesterday so no holding out any hope for losing any this week - then I have more things planned that will cause bad eating and maybe even drinking I have had enough of eating heathly things
I would like to lose at least another 7llbs before I start again so that I don't have to worry about putting any on whilst on tmt. When I get a BFP I am going to the shop to buy plain choc digestives (mcvities - no supermarket own rubbish) and I am going to eat them ALL!!!
Love to all

Traci .. The acu seems to be really helping your AF. That's really good news. I've just posted on the other thread that I think it's messing me up ! I'd love to do Zita's detox, but it will take a lot of hard work and I'm just not ready for it at the moment. Too much going on with work and other things ..!
Julie ..You're doing really well, you know ... Don't worry about putting 1 measly lb back on ... It could just be that you needed the loo ! You've still got to live inbetween all this tmt .. Hope you enjoyed the BBQ.
I've eaten almost a full (small !) box of Thorntons chocs since last night. How bad's that ?

Well, I'm back....shame-faced too as I've put on 4kgs in the last 3 weeks. It was all the snacking at my parents', they are terrible snackers and I just fall straight in with it. DF never snacks so I could have copied him and felt virtuous but instead I shovelled bowls of nuts, crisps and cheese - all this whilst making dinner and quaffing wine:shock: No meal was complete without lashings of extra butter plus sweets/cakes after dessert....hopeless.
Still, back in the land of austerity. Tracii, I'm going to look at the detox tonight and will let you know if I can face it. Given how much lovely wine I've consumed recently, my liver needs a break. I should say that whilst we ate and drank really, really well in Sicily we also walked around like demons, climbed mountains, swam like pale fish and generally kept busy.
Tomorrow I'm mowing the lawns so that will be a good start. I've also challenged my Mum to a weight-loss competition. Anything to keep the motivation going.
Well????????? how's everyone doing?
Debra.
