Sorry haven't been around for a while trying to get my head back in order and have been so busy.
This could be a bit of a ramble with loads of questions, so sorry.
We now have our date for the follow up it is 4 weeks away so I am trying to prepare myself.
Stimming drugs - I have used Menopur for last two goes and injected in my thigh. I have read on a Us website the recommend the stomache because the drugs absorb better, have any of you been told this? Also has anyone changed drugs and got a better response from them?
Do you know if you basal temparature has anything to do with success. Just started doing mine again and my temperature is very low 35.9 to 36.4 just gone up today to 39.7, do you know if this indicates anything?
Also after poor fertilisation last time I blamed myself, age egg quality etc. but it could have been Dh's little swimmers are there any good tips for improving sperm quality, he is doing all the vits.
I think thats it for now, i will be aksing about blood flow as i do think this might be a problem for me, looking at what AF brings.
I can't really answer your questions but I wanted to say you are doing the right thing getting all your thoughts and questions out ready. I found it amazing how different I was treated when I asked relevant questions rather than relying on them to give me information.
I know absolutely nothing about the temperature thing sorry.
As for the injecting I was told I could inject into either my tummy or thigh, I used pregnyl and the final jab was something else??? But I did inject into my tummy as the thigh didn't appeal to me, I just wanted you to know that it doesn't hurt at all in the tummy so if in doubt, go for the tummy x
Hope your follow up appointment goes well and you can get back into the flow of things really soon x

My advise for your dh is to get him to a good chinese practitioner - acupuncture combined with herbs is one of the few things that has been found to have a profound affect on sperm count, motility and morphology.
There are lots of examples of men who have had incredible improvements in all - and now clinical trials coming thru with fantastic results.
From what I've read improvements can be made in as little as 6 weeks - but that is with 2 acupuncture seasons a week + the herbs.
Nothing to be lost if you're already in your cycle - my chinese fertility goddess has had some great results with couples who come to her when the cycle has already started - but she also likes to work with both - not just men.
I was told to inject below my naval but have tended to always go for the tummy rather than leg (dh does injections and he did inject in leg once but it was so painful we decided not to do that again ).
I agree with Tracy, my dh has low sperm count, he has been taking lots of vits etc for about 2 months now and came to see my acupuncturist with me - he has this herbal "tea" which he has to drink 3 times a day. He has to make enough for 4 days at a time - it smells AWFUL so make sure you have all your windows open
Good luck with your follow up appt, it's really good to make a list of things to ask otherwise it's always the way that you will come out of the room and remember something you wanted to ask!
As for the temperature question - I'm not sure but hasn't it got something to do with ovulation Not sure if it goes up or down round ovulation Sorry to be a bit vague on that one!!!

Hi, I thought I’d just reply about the basal temperature. I started tracking mine when first ttc. I gave up for a while when we got diagnosed with male factor, but have started again now that I see an acupuncturist as your charts are invaluable in telling him how your cycle goes. I also find mine useful for telling me when AF is about to start (I have a ‘good’ cycle in that the two phases are very well marked out) and when I have ovulated.
If you track your BBT from Day 1 when AF arrives, you should – if you have no problems – note a definite chart. Your BBT will be lowest from around Day 1 to Day ¾, then it will be fairly even until around Day 10 when it should start rising. Roughly speaking you will have ovulated when you track your third consecutive BBT rise (ie the peak). The BBT will continue to rise and will then level out, starting to fall just before AF arrives. If you see an acupuncturist the charts are really useful as he/she can tell from your charts what, if any, problems you may have (ie with your luteal phase etc). That way they know what areas to work on. With me, I have a good chart and no particular problems. For me personally, I find tracking BBT helpful and reassuring. I can tell when I ovulated and when AF is about to start, which is never a bad thing.
Your BBT just going up now would indicate to me that you have just ovulated (depends what day of your cycle you are on though). I started day 1 on 36 and rose up to 36.7 after ovulation. Now on Day 5 and have a BBT of 36.1.
Re injections – I do it in the thigh (I alternate thighs because I bruise badly) and don’t have any problems with that.
Thanks everyone for your preplies. DH has a good sperm coutn I just want to make it better, just incase he had an off month.
I am charting my temperature for my acupuncturist so she gets a better idea of my cycle, but I think I will need to chart it properly next month starting from day 1, didn't this time. This is my first month since -ive so i don't know what my body is doing.
