I have been on and off the board everyday to see how you all doing. The 2ww period is probably the hardest time in my life; the discomfort of my lower belly exhausts me everyday. I only sleep 3-4 hours a night because can't position myself in bed to comfort my back and stomach. So I always say to myself if the belly is tingling, there must have something growing.
I dreamt of having the positive test this morning, so as soon as I woke up, I took a urine test even I was told by the doctor not to do so before the offical test. Anyway I am happy I did it. It shows 2 purple lines. I told my husdand that I got the positive result, but he said it maybe caused by my medication. No matter what, I feel much happier than the past 11 days.
Does anyone know if the home test accurate on the 12th day? Has anyone tried before and confirmed the result later by the doctor? I hope the test doesn't simple pick up the hormone from the medication. I am currently taking Progesterone injection, vaginal Prometrium and Estradiol pills, oral Prednisone.
I'm so curious to find out if I should be really happy about. Any one had same experience? Please.
Congratulations on your BFP!!
Im sure it will be right. I had my HCG blood test done on the 13th day(after EC) which was +ve and did a HPT on the 14th day which was a faint +ve (my HCG levels were slightly lower than they normally expect on the blood test) so Im sure you are right. As far as I am aware it is the HCG injection (Given prior to EC) which can affect results, but not after so many days. (No expert of course, but I am sure thats right).
Hopefully see you on the first tri thread soon!!
Take care
Love Kim

HM:
Hello! Hopefully your positive test results will prove to be true. I also was instructed to not take a home test, because the results could be altered by the HCG inject I took prior to retrieval which is the same hormone that the urine test measures. When I did IVF I was having anxiety attacks and I just needed to help prepare myself so I took a test on day 10 and it showed positive. I was a little nervous that it might be a false positive but I did 6 attempts at IUI and I took this same inject numerous times prior to doing IVF and it had never given me a false positive home test before. So I was pretty confidante that it was accurate.
Hopefully the blood test will confirm for you what you want so bad to be true. I also wanted to take a home test so that I could at least see 1 positive home pregnancy test. It was one of the best feelings in the world.
This is what I needed most. I still have 3 days to go for the blood test. I'm think to do another one on the 14th day before go to the clinic just to make sure the purple line appears.
I did a HPT on day 14 after transfer (day 2 transfer) and it showed strong hormone levels. I told my clinic I had tested and they said a HPT on day 14 is 100% accurate, but I dont know about earlier sorry.
Hope you are pg

1st ICSI +ve, a daughter born 2001
2nd ICSI +ve, a son born 2006
I did ICSI and zona assisted hatching. I had 3 embryos transfered. If the purple line is rather strong, does it mean that I might have more than one embryo developing. I don't know if my presumption is logic.
From the sounds of it, you may very well have a BFP! I am not sure if multiples can be predicted until your first scan. My doc said there is really no true way to tell, but if your HCG levels remain high, it is probably headed in that direction. I am sure it is hard to wait, but just hang in there.

First of all, best wishes to you and your baby. I know all the ladies on the board deserve babies so badly.
Since you all confirmed that it might be true, now I can't stop imagining that I might have more than one embies growing. May I ask how many embryos did you transfer for each try? When and how can the doctor tell how many embryos survived? Since I did assisted hatching, that increases the chance of survival, I want all 3 embies to survive to compensate the emptiness of 6 years marriage.
Take care of yourself and the baby for another 7 months.
I had 2 embryos transfered on a 2 day transfer. They dont usually transfer more than 2 if you are under 40 in the UK.
They wont be able to tell how many embryos have implanted until thay do a scan, which normally isnt until you are approx 5-6 wks pregnant. As far as HCG levels are concerned they can be higher with multiples, but as Sher said there really is no way to tell yet.
I know the waiting is hard and you just want to know. Just hang in there! Its all sounding good so far.

Congrads... We recieved our +++++ Beata blood test today. In our 2ww Sherri became adicted to those HPT's.. The firs few around day 7-8 were negative. The next one around day 9-10 was faint ++++. Yeasterday (day 12) She purchased and took 4 different kinds of HPT. All showed ++++. We were reluctant to belive them until our ++++ beta test today. I wish you the same luck we have had and we will both be praying for you. This is the hapiest day in our lives and we hope you see your dreames come true as well. Miracles do happen...
TTC 6yrs......Have jumped off the rollercoaster for now, too many BFN's and too much heartache, to keep going....Moving on to fulfil other dreams!!!
